Talking about Genting... Let me share my experience there. I went to work part time there after school while waiting for results. Both my friend and I were given a room. Just the two of us. I still remember the feeling when the warden opened the door to the room for us. The room had a few windows and I could see outside, all trees, dark but there was a small staircase leading somewhere. Not enough of that shit, I came across many types of drawings on the wall. Damn was I dreaming or what? Genting is giving a room like this to their staff? Oh yeah, the drawings, one of it was a lion, a scary looking lion, not fierce lion. If fierce looking lion drawing, I can handle it. This was scary. It had blood (painted with red paint) all over the face and dripping. That was one. That was big. There were also many, many small pictures of some creatures. With long tongue, sharp teeth and blood and all that la. I don't know what kind of people would live in a room like that?
I couldn't take it. So, we bought newspapers and sticked all over the room to cover the drawings. That's not enough. We couldn't sleep at night. There were strange noises coming from outside the window. Till today, I have never heard that kind of sound anywhere else. I seriously wanted to resign and go home the next day but because my friend wanted to stay, I forced myself to continue staying there for 2 long weeks. Then, we managed to change rooms to an entirely different building. What a relief?
I worked there for a year and the stories I heard, luckily never experienced, are quite scary too.
My ex-colleague was alone in his room one night as all his room mates were on leave and went back to their hometowns. He was watching TV when suddenly he felt a chill wind, colder than the normal Genting weather when all the windows were closed. And he only felt it on his arm. He slowly turned an he could see a white lady figure sitting at the corner of the room and staring at him. I have to say that he was one brave motherf**ker. He just said to it,"Go away, I didn't disturb you, so don't disturb me". He turned his head away from it and continued watching TV. After a while, it went away and so did the chill wind.
This is another story. I was working at the casino and one day, a customer was on a losing streak and said to me, this casino got ghost. I just laughed him off. Then, I told my manager this as a joke. He laughed but he also said, there are ghosts or something in the casino. Many years back, one of his croupiers dropped a chip on the ground. He bent down to pick it up and guess what he saw? There was a pregnant woman sitting and between her legs, all those sitting, standing or walking behind her had a yellow strings tied to their legs. Meaning through her legs, he could see that. This means that casino did something to keep the customers there to lose all their money.
All these stories that I heard true or not, I don't know. They are just tales I heard.
So, I don't want Genting to sue me or whatever. Hehe.

I went 2 weeks ago. Really really cold, unlike the normal Genting. It was well below 23C and it was BLOODY misty with strong piercing cold winds AT mid noon (12.30PM all the way to evening!). All of my friends didn't expect that and all of us end up shivering (even those that just came back from Aussie & UK).
But it was before this current New Year heat wave. Not sure about the coolness there now currently.
Usually it's very cold and misty there from somewhere in November or December till CNY.
