My mech start the engine from the half cut.. and the feel is much2 powerful than the oldr one la for sure... room lamp... yaa... easy to see what wrong at night.. :D :D ...

Now my mech has transplant the fron absorber (everything) and the engine now rest in ke70 body...

Change the timimg belt and pulley (i think) ... I found out thatthe emblem at the timing belt cover say "4A-GZE" ... is this mean that the engine is DOHC, Supercharge, and Electronic fuel injection?? If so why the engine did not come with the supercharger... ;) ;)
 
Abt the timing belt cover, no big deal. Probaly the previous owner had it replaced with the timing belt cover from the supercharger model. For what reasons, i do not know.... hheheh....

hammet.. your are right.. 4A-GZE emblem.. instead of 4A-GE ... :D .. what a coincident.. NA is more than enough for me...

Anyway any 4A-GE club in m'sia.. mind to share your info...
 
i'm just wondering how much you get the halfcut for, wanna know the rough figure so i can manage my finance.

and the cam cover, i would probably take it off, if i had a adj. cam puley. heard ppl say that removing the cam cover will help cools the timing belt down faster.. dunno true or not.

It seem that the cost .. i can buy another ke70 + overhaul engine ... need to do body work as well... now the engine + mounting = front absorber are in ke70.. the mech now doing wiring and installing the levin dashboard... i go to the workshop once a day to watch closely what going on with my car...

Rollakid. your are from sarawak right? Performance part?.. The engine comes with HKS air filter...I need to replace the element... heard it is RM70 per element... mind to share where to get this element and how much they really cost...

you mean the filter element for the mega power flow? the green one right? if so i can call up a friend of mine cuz he is using it. his honda is HCFB one, wanna mod mine so can just keep up with him.

Still learning...today my mech shown me a newly recond ae86 radiator .. top and bottom are all copper... no more fibreglaass... and new key was duplicate for car ignition (the key was lost when i bought the half cut)... Still have minor problem to install the ae86 ori dashboard .. need to modify the bar.. still in progress...

I can't wait to see everything done ... dunno yet how long it will take for the transplant to complete .. as i have another car.. so no rushing... ;)

The mech is busy to finish other car... 1 left hand drive satria 1.6 convert to 1,5 mitsubishi.. 90% complete.. 1 mazda RX7 Savannah Turbo..95% complete. and their other BMW 3 series with SR20 Turbo (normal problems with suspension)... hopefully next week they can concentrate on my car....

The LSD rear axel + spring + absorber + brake, fuel tank, long shaft have not arrive yet.. still in 'kontena' port klang.. maybe by tommorow or monday they will send the parts to the workshop...

No work on my car today as at lunch hour... I'll update with photos later...
 
AS at today.... here is the update....

1. AE86 fuel tank installed
2. AE86 LSD rear axel with rear disk brake installed
3. AE86 original rear bsorber and spring installed
4. AE86 long shaft installed
5. AE86 dashboard partly installed
6. Fuel filter install

Now mech are busy to install aircond and dashboard and a few engine components... I took a few picture for reference.
