when is the time to top overhaul or overhaul?

aiyo... give u an engine last 1000K km also no use,, if change engine oil 30K km.
radiator never complete flush every 100k km....

i agree that an engine kept well will last vry long w/out overhaul. i hv seen proton around 300,000 of mileage still doing good & zero engine oil consumption. it all depend hw we take care of the engine & our driving habits.

dats y i dun think change an engine is da ans.we dun how was da engine was, b4 its in da junkyard.but if u guys r willing to give yr full commitment to yr car and 4get yr galfren..then do it...plus u haf to haf deep pockets or high technical knowledge abt cars...

no laah, top overhaul for eg not more then RM500.....
lift up head head normally foreman will charge 200++
polish head, valve&valve springs head gasket, oil seals...arnd 200++ only...
if full overhaul.... eerrkkkk....
depends which w/shop u go laaa......
becoz its all depend on workmanship, fully overhaul, some foreman said they have to take out the engine, this will cost u min RM1k, piston ring, piston, conrod, lets say u want to balance the engine, this will defenately cost u RM2k above..

my mech charge me for my wira 1.5 carbie about rm600 to rm 700 for full overhaul wor... hehe... = )
