newbie who has done research needs help

must i register it locally? is it the case for all amps? coz ive been bringing a lot of stuff from US but didnt have to register any of it.... home theater sets, guitar amplifiers.... these things are all even more expensive than the alpine.
lemme know coz im clueless about bringing car audio equipment from overseas.

Yup, the part only can get from WKH, I oledi send to afew shop before who claim can repair it (dont want to mention here laaa)... take almost half year to find suitable part... but they can not get it.... If you not believe on it you can ask WKH customer service... or wait your time... My frend also face same problem but his 1 MRV-F505 send to many shop... wasting 9 months.. change shop after shop.. at last send to WKH... WKH just take 14 days to reply... NO Spare part either in his store or Japan factory... WKH keep all record which belong to them.. so U can not cheat them...

If like this, better wait the amp got problem then only register from them. Or forget about this brand, try others. What for buy a thing that only have 1 distributer? Sure he can sell high.

where got registration one. WKH will cover only if u bought locally from their dealers, of which all serial numbers have been recorded. they will still repair the items for u though, but there will be a surcharge....

1 quick question. is clarion polykevlar the same as clarion kp? couldnt find it on the website. i managed to audit a clarion utopia 165 w in a dealer's car. absolutely clear and even had decent bass coming from audio system amp.
i suppose the polykevlar is better than polyglass?

replace all clarion above with focal

yes kp is one of the polykevlar series, k2p is the better one.
uopia is of coz higher than polykevlar
and yes polykevlar is better than polyglass
lowest one is access i think.

My MRV1507 it bought from Australia.... Zenn ...Where got registration .... so why KF Audio charge me last time.....

Maybe they cut your throat. High car audio shop = cut throat shop.... That's why the best is if the amp or whatever bought from other country, wait until got problem then only go to them. Atleast we can save some money on the so-called registration.

hearing the focal has made me so fickleminded. right now im leaning towards just getting a pair of focals and a 2 channel amp. would a 2 channel alpine be sufficient to
drive focal polyglass? coz i heard alpine isnt really good for sq. or maybe i should get audiosystem amp?

anything bought from outside malaysia will be charged extra
anything bought locally from WKH dealers will not

hope this doesnt confuse u

car audio shop can only send to the official distributor who has the parts & knowledge to repair the items. whatever they charge the shop will pass it to u, and also the shop will inform u what the repair charges will be after they discover whats wrong to get the customer's green light before they replace anything.

amir the audio system suits the focals better, as it will not make the tweeter sound so sharp.

finally now i understand, my meaning of surcharge = your meaning of registration

didnt know what u guys were talking about earlier..
