Hello forum,

May I know what protects the engine from the bottom up?
what i mean is, between the road surface and the engine, there are open spaces.

Should the floor level spaces below the engine be completely covered by something (called an engine splash guard or shield??) or is the openings meant for ventilation? I am concerned about mud accumulating under the engine. Is this concern unfounded?

Thanks in advance. :wavey:

Best regards
tmodus.

for aerodynamic purposes, yes u should cover up everything under ur carriage... make it as smooth as possible to reduce wind turbulence under ur car....

Hi, the uncovered serves as a ventilation as well. It channels hot air out especially from your radiator and condenser. Air bombarding your radiator and condenser need somewhere to go.
