V-tec Vs Mivec

Nobody ever said Mivec engines were bad.

But in a stock for stock comparison there are reasons why a B16A in a Civic EG hatch chassis was faster than a Mivec 4G92 in a Cyborg R chassis.

I believe the tests are meant to be all around like track test and acceleration tests, not just top speed tests.

In the end (this has been mentioned before), it boils down to money. There are people in New Zealand that have put a FTO Mivec engine into their Cyborgs, catch my drift?

No doubt with small but significant mods a Mivec 4G92 would be a formidable engine but then it wouldn't be stock right? ;)

Not easy to compare modified with modified.

But i wonder whether anyone has slapped a Mivec 4G92 into a Civic EG hatch and a B16A into a Cyborg chassis. Interesting comparison i think :D

yeah....n that's show how the advantage of power-weight ratio in Mirage is not much applicable in this test.

My car is EG3 and his car was satria...
In terms of 0-400m, he cannot tapaw me...
But the mivec has a very good top speed...
both cars in stock standard form...

If both of the engine come with std gear ratio, u will see the different result.

Some ppl said even B16A vs B16A from jp h/c..
there is some variation in between...hp loss....
Ok if i assume there is no any distrub...

Normally most of the ppl said Mit's will in better top speed...

I think B16B or 18C gearbox will be a bit difference rig?

In stock, i'd say the vtec will be infront. Even with mods (both cars), the vtec will still be ahead. I've got 1st hand experience I drive a 4g93 mivec

Well guys...
Let's talk bout the maintenance...

My ride still occuring white smoke & top up 2 week once bout 500ml of engine...
I have change valve seal & gasket...stil the same...
My experience is when there is no white smoke, u have to decresae the fuel...
By the time, engine lighter...but after certain time...metal gasket spoiled...

VTEC more aftermarket parts around the globe compare to MIVEC. So more room to upgrade. Anyway i do love MIVEC.
