frankly speaking, the common practice in automotive industry, it's is either you keep the same name for different generation (Honda Civic,Toyota Corolla, BMW 3 series, Merc C-Class) for easy marketing, unless serious product line re-naming happen (Mazda 323 -> Mazda 3), and that only happen after many generations of the product.
OR
You keep your product in number and increase by 1 after each generation (Peugeot 405, 406, 407).
Proton is screwed even for naming their product. Satria is just find for me.
UNLESS the is a legal agreement between Mitsu and Proton that those name (WIRA, Satria) can only be use on re-badge Mitsu.

btw, KoNa just leave a message saying that Proton may name the SRM after NEO, no proof on that. Might be another rumours.
