Basically u just need 4 pieces of stainless steel cups, can get them from any indian shops near masjid jamek or brickfields or any other shops selling indian cookware n stuff like that. Various sizes available from 2" all the way to 4". Then for the flange, u can try to source them from exhaust pipe shops or CNC them if you have a fren working with CNC machine. To get the flange dimension, you can either go to chopshops/workshops to measure it (look for BT ITB) but note that BT and SVT ITB has different sizes. Don't use the rubber trumpet that comes stock with the ITB because the diameter is smaller than the actual ITB's mouth.pcmoddingmy: interesting with your DIY. can u show us the step?
Its not so much the trumpets but your cam and AFR.In stock mode the BT VVT kicks in @ 4400rpm but with the 272 cams the intake opens about 20deg earlier so you got to retune and that should take care of it.well, open trumpet is nice but it'll 'choke' a bit when your rpm is around 3-4k range. but after that... ;)
don't floor the throttle when u are around 2-3k rpm. slowly press down the throttle. when it passes 3.5k-4k rpm then only u floor it. u'll be amazed. :D
this is actually symptom of O2 sensor getting faulty...well, open trumpet is nice but it'll 'choke' a bit when your rpm is around 3-4k range. but after that... ;)

owh really?! hmmm, i was a bit suspicious when i did that O2 sensor test. multimeter works fine (moved up when i press throttle and down when i released throttle) except when i maintain the rpm @ 2500, the meter will be idle in the middle. It didn't move more than 8 times in 10 secs. actually... it doesn't move at all... LOLthis is actually symptom of O2 sensor getting faulty...
yup, quite pricey...
do inform if you manage to secure the item with a good price...
coz many from Club4AGE changed to Bosch LS05... however i've been quoted at RM469 by the Bosch dealer...
related to trumpet... just to share not promoting...

good bell-mouth shape...
remember if using Bosch LS05 (yes it's universal)... you need to put a new 'bung' to your extractor... coz this is not like ori Toyota O2 where there's a flange instead...Just called up an authorised Bosch distributor in Butterworth. I asked him what's the model and he said it's for universal use. he didn't give me the model number . He said any car can use. the kit comes with application chart and wiring diagram. He said as long as u hook it up correctly the 4 wires, then it should be working. No return after buying cos i said i'm a car owner (customer), not from any spare part shops.
the price he quoted me for a brand new one is RM350.
anyone interested?
the wonder of a search engine...

Diff of torque as i recall..wat is the diff between short trumpet and long one? any comment?
So the short one got better torque or long one got better torque?Diff of torque as i recall..
Longer will produce better torque then short. So the short one got better torque or long one got better torque?
Sorry for my bad english.. but i dun know wat it mean..?according to wiki :
A velocity stack is a trumpet-shaped device which is added on to the air entry of an engine's fuel system, carburetor or fuel injection. It is designed to:
Allow smooth and even entry of air into the intake duct with the flow stream adhering to the pipe walls.
Modify the dynamic tuning range of the intake tract slightly by functioning as a small reverse megaphone which can extend the duration of pulses within the tract.
Alter the dynamic tuning speed if it includes extra length thereby changing the tuned length to a lower rpm.
Thanks a lot! will do it tomorrow...
the flange will make it at friend shop..
