walbro...can install...why cannot..only money...but after install aftermarket fuel pump...recommended to install fpr...

not necessary..only 1600cc NA,...y need such high flow fuel pump?? unless turbo

Ok. Then I think use back original better. But to install Walbro fuel pump & FPR, I think is good also coz for future upgrade. Lolz...

some time stock fuel pump can't support fuel...in high rpm...

I have the problem when I am in Sepang track yesterday. When full tank no problem on cornering. But when the getting lesser but not yet reach half tank, when cornering, d fuel does not reach in 2nd gear low RPM.

But when go out & pump full tank again, no problem.

Suspected that previous owner of this car not using half-cut fuel pump. Right?

Surge tank with Walbro as secondary pump, that should do the work ..

km_chew,

1.6L engine BlackTop standard need to use Surge tank with Walbro fuel pump? Why the original BlackTop fuel pump can't support. Just wondering on the R&D......

You do not need a high pressure pump with surge tank if you don't require it's functionality.

Ic. That means they design is not for track purpose.

But I never had the problem with my previous Mazda B6Turbo & Nissan Cefiro RB20DET. Both also using standard fuel pump. Hehe....

If install surge fuel tank with walbro fuel pump, still can maintain stock ECU. Right?

Bro, your problem is NOT the fuel pump it is THE FUEL TANK....

why? cos when cornering the fuel are force to one side right? if it is the right tank there should be a barrier wall inside the fuel tank to avoid it splashing to one side, that is why when your tank is full there is no problem occurred....

if u have a 1/4 bottle (large) of coke... try to hold it horizontally and shake the bottle left and right... you can see some times the center of the bottle will dry...same as your fuel tank... your fuel tank didn't have the barrier to avoid the splashing..... imagine if there is a two barrier inside the coke bottle... it will catch some fuel at the center to avoid the cut-off right? during the splashing... your fuel pump suffer sudden fuel-cut...

I also have experience the problem, after changing the fuel tank to japan fuel injection model... everything ok... my previous car owner didnt install the fuel tank.. they just used the exisiting 1.3 carb tank... just replace the fuel pump to 4age....

Have the internal of the fuel tank checked whether there is the barrier or not.... if there isn't any... congratulations... you have a carb fuel tank.. carb fuel tank is OK for non-agressive driving... i never knew i am using carb tank until i drove in Sepang.. there u can do and discover anything including puncturing steel braided brake hoses hahaha.. if there is a barrier... check the fuel pump final height... maybe it is not too low...

Not a very nice feeling to have that happen at sepang....LOL...

Yaya. really need to remove it & check it out. Thanks for sharing the info

Hi all bros,

I have removed the rear seat & check on the fuel tank. Got barrier & confirmed it's fuel injection fuel tank. My foreman even adjust the fuel pump lower touching the fuel tank.

And I tried in Sepang again. Still have the same problem....

Anyone facing same problem as mine? And have you solve it? Mind to share

Coz in SIC track, I did ask some members & some does not have the problem & some have the same problem as mine...
