Vtec turbo build issues need help

Need help!

Current engine is B16a. Engine fully rebuild with blockguard, low comp piston, headstud and metal gasket. Head work is also cun no leaking, new valve seals. Cast iron manifold, oil feed from fuel press sensor, turbo is T04e front ar50 hotside is ar63.

So, there was blue smoke(or white smoke?) at first startup. Idle for 5mins and took everything apart. It seems like the turbo seals are broken (exhaust side are wet). While waiting for the turbo gets repaired, the engine runs NA for few days (stock b16 extractor) and runs fine no problem. So it seems that the problem is not from the engine.

After a week i got the turbo repaired, and put everything together. At first startup there was smoke again. So lets say theres a problem with the oil return pipe being to small, i tried leaving the turbo oil return unplugged spilling it inside bottle, still smoke coming out.

Im really tired of this, i spend so much edy and still problem persist.
Today also is sepang drag round 2 and i have no mood to go haizz

Bro....ur turbo is jurnal bush bearing or ball bearing type?

are u sure the turbo oil seal/ring properly replaced

maybe still got oil in your exhaust piping?

My turbo is journal bush type. Just checked yesterday. Theres leaking at the exhaust side again. How come its not properly repaired?

cheap o-ring?

o-ring not the correct size

or could be the bearing already out of tolerance but not replaced making the turbo shaft have some free-play and vibrate thus leaking oil...


or try buy a good condition similar turbo from halfcut shop and see if it still leaking badly...


sometimes its just pure badluck of kaput turbo
