SR20DET white smoke while driving(no smoke when idle)

ok, heres the problem, currently the car is generating white smoke when i realease the pedal(vacuum)

at idle,theres no problem
check the hot pipes(intercooler hose) but theres no oil in it.

so whats the problem of my car anyway? is it the turbo seal(on the turbine site) or is it the valve seal?

its really killing me,its so not macho driving a car with white smoke comin out of the back

owh, another thing, one day i forgot to tight down the oil cap(its like not properly shut)
so i test the car till full boost, but theres no white smoke coming out, even when i was WOT and after releasing the pedal.

i suspected the valve seal,is it correct?or is it the turbo seal on the turbine part?

just check your turbine housing, see inside got engine oil or not?if the turbine housing got engine oil mean your turbine side oil seal is leaking, if not also can start your engine then open your engine oil cap and see got white smoke come out or not?if got many smoke from engine oil inlet maybe is your piston and piston ring crack already, valve seat also leaking also be,last one is your a/f ratio running too rich kindly plug in wide band to check your a/f ratio, hope this can help u

errr, can u tell me,how to check the turbine housing?inside the fin eh?or just like on the outside surface of the turbine.

erm, open up my oil cap,and check for white smoke, non, just the oil hot steam.since its hot.rather than that normal.

owh,too rich?would it be black if the engine is rich?

ok2,i'll do the inspection once again.thx for the help

owh btw,how much it will cost me to get it fix?i mean the valve seals

In order to check the turbine fin got oil or not bro u have to remove the turbo unit from the engine. After removing, check the exhaust manifold got any oil sign. No, then look at the turbine fin. If got, you have to service your turbo. If dont have, high chances your valve seals are worn. To change it costs approximately 200 to 300. But if u want perfection, suggestion is to remove the cylinder head and do top overhaul where everything is cleaned up and valve grinding is done to ensure minimum leakage at the valve seats. That will cost about 700 to 800. Furthermore you can actually view your piston and cylinder condition for abnormal wear.

Cheers.:wavey:
