Tint Shop

hello....wanna ask something...

Where can i get black tinting film just like all those estima, honda stream, and so on rear black glass?
Is it 50% black or what?
Around how much if i tint just for 2 front window?

thx

Question

Yeah was just wondering why do some cars have heavier tinting on the back windows? Like Estima, Civic EK, etc?

hehe... those are ORI black... but still, it's against de law... once JPJ blocked them... they will still have to pay for de fine... but who cares... wat they have is RM and u all shud know that RM works for EVERYTHING! hehe...

just go tint ur car to watever u like... hehe...

;)

I strongly recommend Tint Shop in Damansara Utama. Price is reasonable and workmanship is top notch. Most importantly they take care of your car, eg cover your seats, dashboard, etc. And you can find my car pic on their wall :D

wud appreciate it if u tell us wat u tint and wat car u r on as well as priced that u've been charged...

since ur car pic is on their wall... bet u drive something diff? by ur nick... a VW Beetle? hehe...

;)

I tinted EZTint for my front and sides, 2 layers for the sides

Initially I was using Ecotint, but wasn't happy, bubbles here and there and the rear screen had water sipping through the tint (not defaming Ecotint, just relating my experience). The tint effect also was less significant compared to the EZTint. However they did replace it for me as warrantied.

About the price, its quite subjective because my family has tinted many cars there, and also depends on your negotiating skills :D, but judging from his walk in customers, I can see that he charges relatively reasonable. For a normal sized sedan eg. Vios would be about 400+ for the whole car including windscreen.

In fact, I just sold off my car, and before I sold my car I actually went there to remove the tint. Cleaning the glass to clear off the glue was not an easy job judging from the amount of liquid cleaners he had to use, but he didn't charge me. Moreover, he was quite filled with cars at that moment, but he had the courtesy to take time off to attend to me. That says alot about his after sales service, that's why I would recommend this shop to anyone.

My car was a VW Beetle. Red colour. Maybe if you guys go there can just point out to him. The boss name is Calvin.

Guys, anyone have any experience with SunCool or perhaps specifically SunCool shop at Tmn Connaught?

Asked 'em how much it gonna cost to tint my car (4 door sedan) and they quoted me RM300 using the cheapest suncool tint and RM1200 as the most expensive.

Is it worth it?

I don't care much of the appearance (dark, colour-ish or not) but it needs to at least reject MOST heat since my car will be parked outside for the entire working hour lately (blame that on insufficient parking lot surrounding my office area) and the problem seems to prolong.

Y not everybody of us who had alrdy tinted ur car post up a pic of ur car tinted glass just to let all of us to share...

If can post up which brand u use and cost how much.....

No offence...just to share share...

maybe somebody will be interested and more easier to compare...
This will be more easier for us to choose which type of film suit our taste...rite?

Lets post up right now....cheers....:)

maybe its been mentioned b4. i use aircool at puchong.

my third car done there, neva had problems.

use to be pricey but they've gone done in price. they call it promotion.

but they get a lot of ppl to work on ur car, fast, accurate and i m confident its good.

neva remove ur door panels and stuff.

so i place as my primary choice for price and quality work. quality film too i assume. no peel no bubbles. 5 yr warranty, sirim report and jpj compliant sticker.

Hi Beetle....Ur beetle really look cool....;)

Actually my car just tinted 1 layer only...
It looks pretty dark is becoz of the film itself only...Thats what i like most about Express cool...and cheap somemore...

This brand very seldom in market....Becoz it almost 'pupus' alrdy...so very difficult to find nowaday...I did this in ipoh actually...When i go back to the shop ask again to tint 1 more layer the boss said finish alrdy becoz the company no more produce this typr of film...

So now i plan to tint 1 more layer with different brand...
Will prefer dark grey or something like that...

As far as i know some car need to remove the door panel and some car no need...
But i m not so sure....I think most of the car need to remove due to the design of the door panel and glass...

wow i think my 2 layer = your 1 layer
why don't tint all black? will look very "gangster" then :D

yes it's true, not all models they could do without removal. however i was told many of those which others would remove they don't. apparently the technique they use were learnt overseas....

worth the enquiry i guess those who dislike squeeky noises after the removals. :)
