right or wrong? traffic rules practice

Just now my gal call me, said she being stop by traffic police cause of not in the correct lane and she paid 30 for that 2 cops to settle the thing.
She was in the left lane, thanks to JKR's "nice" work, she only notice that left turn arrow when she was near the corner so she quickly (but safely) cut into right side lane but that 2 cops behind her catch up to stop her, they said that lane is onli for left turn coz the arrow said so, and she was not allow to cut into right lane anymore but the line is "break-line" (look like this "- - - - -") !!
So in this case we are not guilty right? I did faced similiar case myself and I did argue and ask the cops to summon me if he want be at the end he let me go, so pls correct me if I am wrong

if im not mistaken.....got another one is 2-line but one is solid and one is dotted..... that one also cannot over-take...but depend on which side lor...

If u dun have the intention to bribe the police, then u will know u r right or wrong. If u r right then they wont issue u a summon, if yes..then ma eat "yuk gon" lo...

in a way, your gf broke the traffic rules....so there's nothing to argue about.

the only thing to argue is that these traffic police have so many other road offenders to catch....and nothing has been done.

look at those buggers who cut queue, using the emergency lane, beating the redlights, parking illegally, double parking, tailgating, road hogging, stopping in yellow boxes, etc....i believe these kind of sights are more common, we can see it happening on the road at anytime.

and i have seen these buggers commiting these traffic offends in front of the policemen, but tuan didn't bother to do anything.

Policemen wont catch u if they r full..u wont eat wen u r full rite?! Sometimes policemen do offence traffic rules..they speed faster than me..so how?!
