THIS THING DOESN'T MAKE SENSE AT ALL......

wat is the purpose if aftermarket product is approve by gorment !!!
when they bring the products in, they tax them right ?
so more products = more money for the government.

even if got inspection and eveything ok.. still kena arr? like i want to change my exchaust lar.. where can i go and get approval? puspakom?

ermm simon...its not the judiciary thats fcuked up..its the legislative..aka the parliament ( those BN reps ler..not that im any party supporter but heck they got like 90% seats??)

Somehow i dont know why farny laws are always getting made in here n ppl complain about it and just leave it at that...maybe most of us below 21 ler (like me) no power to complain to our local dewan rakyat reps.. :(
oh yes...
haha :D
tq for the correction
haha

Hahhhhhh...Open Pods Filter also canot ..... sucks....... down 5 hp for my car ... ;)

JPJ block was at the JUNCTION turning towards Sungai Buloh last nite, around 10pm !!!!!!!!!

Luckily my modded car got through without any hasle............hehehehhehe

If JPJ wants those mod car ppl to follow the rulez, and besides just know to saman ppl,

They should show become a non mod car driver first, such as THEY DON't MOD their own car ~

I always see police / JPJ driving their car with big loud muffer, mivec head, even 100% tinted glass. so If they also did that, why not us? it's a bit unfair to us right, the police / JPJ won't get SAMAN when they got block, "face" will be given to show their ID?

how about those normal citizens like us ? show IC/lisense kena saman ... and for them just show ID beloh pergi ...

really a BOLEH land.

I think what needs to be done, is to educate the public.

I have seens rules of modification somewhere, in AAM's website, and once in JPJ's website. I however, could not find it now.

This is what I recall from memory. which might be correct, or not.

Installation of air spoiler at the front or rear of the vehicle.
Installation of protecting guards at the front or rear of the vehicle.
Installation of side skirt, aerofoil and door visor.
Installation of additional brake light (red) or signal lights (amber).
Minor modifications to increase the width of the tyre wings or mudguard.
Modification or installation of bigger bumpers (steel or fiberglass) at the front or the rear.
Installation of bigger rims and tyres.
Minor modifications on the radiator grilles, bonnet, or the shape and design of the lights.
Installation of carrier brackets on the roof of the car.
Installation of sunroof.
Installation of spotlights or halogen lights (white or yellow) at the front only. This refers to the installation of lights in addition to the existing headlamps.

How do one justify if an exhaust system is too loud ? By hearing? Everyone's level of acceptance to sound is different, without machines, can this job be done?

Size of exhaust will be the guideline for illegal modifications? If my exhause needs more space for air, and 2 inch not enough, I install 6 2 inch can or not ?

write in! I did...

[email protected]

For you to nicely insult the professor. I gave him my 2c worth of 2 pages. :)

Basically I made a few points :

1. Most accidents happen with stock cars.
2. When a modded car gets into an accident, its on the front page and its akin to the israel/american propaganda machine. Ie. One black sheep wrecks the entire community.
3. I questioned his professionalism for not doing any research and boldly stating he is a professor. So if one professor is doing a bad job that means all professors are bad?
4. Properly modded cars ie. brakes/strengthening etc are safer then stock cars.
5. To take into account that its not just cars, there are buses/trucks/motorcyclist and padestrians who are much much worse then any loud exhaust will ever be.
6. Its an Attitude problem not modified cars problem. So I again mentioned that normal people are breaking the laws and for a professor to miss that he doesn't deserve to be called a professor again!

So do your part as well. Write in to the star or metro or whatever. Try go for the bigger papers, new straits times/star/berita harian/utusan.

cheers

Hahahah...agree with you ... Me living near that Ampang Police Station and me saw many cars with the loud exhaust parked inside there and you know what, most of it belongs to that policeman ....... suck. WHY YOU CAN, I KENOT? ....... <_<

they need to mod their car so they able to chase modcar thief? that's why they mod ...

hm... is that the right answer ?

i remember there's time, i was fixeing my car at workshop near jln 222, then there's car with black tint around, satria with mivec head, big muffer, loud bass sound, .. then i was like "wou, this driver not scare of roadblock.. damn daring .." how i know, 2 police guys came out from car with uniform, tell the foreman, sometimes wrong with the engine, it's mivec open hood and oh ya ~ OPEN POD FILTER somemore ~

sigh,...

y not spend the money in repairing the roads to prevent accidents?

our roads are nowhere near "safe"

time to modify the roads!!!!

when they inspect these type of cars at Puspakom,
the dealer has already changed the glass to the clear ones,
after inspection they change back to the dark glass and
pass the key, documents, etc to the new owner. This is how it goes..
