HID Switch on problem!!

For my case, the needed power to light up the HID is not enough. That's why sometimes i get this HID lighting up at one side and not the other. My batt is located at the left side... and perhaps it's just coincidence that only my right side fail to light up. What i was told is that you need a voltage stabilizer to kill this problem and I listen to them... and it works.

antaras, my batt located at right side and the right side bulb prone to this prob. i also hav a voltage stabliser and ground cables. any explaination??

hmmm... seems like you've already done what I'd mentioned... opppsss... guess this doesn't work on every car then. rinagi, did you check with them regarding this issue? Perhaps there's really something wrong with the ballast?

since this thread been bought up, im not sure if my problem would be related to HID o not...but i guess the last mod i done so far is upgrade HID....and recently found my car when HID on, air-con on during night, the car when idling, suddenly like when aircon kick in o wat, it would switch off all the electronic stuff and restart again....is it not enuff battery capacity or alternator ar?...so malu when shut off, my HID become strobe light, off and on... -_-lll anyone can tell me whats the problem?

ya... it seems like it's related to the car batt or HID that is but isn't HID supposed to consume less energy than normal halogen bulbs? Yet there's all these problems regarding HID lighting up. Any pro out there care to explain?

I also having same problems with BJunion HID 8000k. At first, the right side bulb very often need few times ON-OFF to turn it on. Then, after few months, the bulb blown! The worst part is warranty period is over! Need to fork out RM300 (Lo only, if Hi-Lo RM500) for replacement. After replaced, the color is difference between left and right bulb. Very tu lan!

i still believe its becoz of drop in voltage across stock wiring harness to powering the ballast
try using external headight harness for testing. no harm right.
just about rm50 only.

well, just my opinion.

some ppl said its alternator.....some said is battery.....some said is relay....

im a HID seller myself...and i got a customer encountered another weird problem.....whenever he on his HID...no problem...but everytime whenever he switch on and off the signal light....the HID will blink once.....

he check the alternator...no problem....battery also change to NS70...still like tat....relay check edi....still the same...might be the wiring...

my 2 cent

Forget about after market HID.

Just too many problems and a fire hazard soon enough

since everyone say is battery, grounding wiring problem, why dont u try this. just my 2 cents... maybe ur ballast problem... try swapping it from left to right, where if ur problem occur on left in the first place, after swapping from left to right, if the problem occur in the right side, then confirm is ur ballast problem. if after swap the ballast, the problem still occur on left side, maybe is bulb or wiring problem. then try swap ur bulb from left to right like what u do to ur ballast previously, then try rectify ur problem. if the left side got problem, then ur left side wiring must have some problem already.
