Hi
Here's my review of Titan on my Waja.
B4 i start, just let me say that this review is solely my own experience and knowledge. Whether right or wrong is not the debate here ok. I dont work for Titan and am not receiving any incentives from them.
Before this, i had changed to normal sport spring for the last 1.5 years and ride was a bit hard. A bit bumpy on rough surface but ok on highway. Damping was poor because it does not match the sport spring, therefore you could feel the car not absorbing the bumps properly and frequenly experience jolting when going over bumps or port holes.
After researching between Hotbits and Titan, I decided to go for Titan based on many satisfied customer's feedback + its cheaper too.
Called Stan on Thu i think and made an appointment. Went there on Sat (24/4) and gladly saw my name on the their time table. Tested their infamous Civic and the Cefiro. I told them that i wanted the Cefiro feel rather than the Civic. The Cefiro was very very comfortable.
I was the first customer there and they started taking out the old suspension parts. They took out the suspension mount and machine it to fit their suspension. Inspected the quality of Titan and very impressed with the construction of it. Richard patiently explained how it was made and also what material they use.
Next step was to install it. Was just a bolt on affair. By 12pm it was almost done. Alignment was also done, although i still have some doubts of how its done, nevertheless it works.
ok time to test!!!.. but then.... my stupid alarm gave some prob + the battery died. Could not start my car! So after changing new battery and fumbling with the alarm, still could not get it to start. Richard asked me to go for lunch first.
After lunch, somehow got the car started and away we went for a test ride. First impression, rear ride height too high but according to them it will sag after a few days. Ride quality is still a bit hard although its softer and more comfortable than before. Anyway Richard recommend me to take the car home for a week to let it settle down before the next tuning.
After a week, the rear ride height sag a little bit as expected and its just perfect. The suspension also became more comfortable but still a bit hard. So off i went to Titan again on Fri (30/4) to tune up.
Since Titan is not externally adjustable, it has to be taken out and adjust. But its done within 1 hour, so ok la. Dont really know what they did but after fitting and testing it again, i was taken by surprise of how comfortable it is now. The bumps are absorbed nicely and although its a little bit stiff, only slightly, the ride quality is excellent, almost like stock spring. Cornering roll is still very minimal and when braking, the front does not sink in as before. There was no suspension noise at all, unlike my old spring.
Tested on highway and immedialy i feel very confident with the handling. The car absorbs the undulating roads very well and the car feels planted. This make me want to go fast on highway, which is a bad sign....:D
Conclusion: i am a very satisfied with the product and would recommend Titan to anyone. Customer relation is good and they take the trouble to listen and explain. Product warranty is 2 years, correct me if i am wrong.
Best part is that they custom make to what you want. Price wise, all i can say is "its worth it".
cheers.
