hi...for choosing the ems we need to consider many expect.
-budget
-what type of car (light mod or heavy)
-plug n play or universal
-function like antilag, full tho gear shift, launch control.
-how many injector input
-how many output to control, like traction control ign vs temp and more
-do it have injector patern control. like sequential
-can it campatible for after maket sensor.
-do u want to keep the ecu after selling car. ( this is superb important) ems like power fc they can not be use on different car.
the cons i know
power fc follow cars
microtech the map resolution is low compare others.
haltech e6x not enough input and output.
aem also follow cars. but got one universal model. aem is much more better than power fc
e8 and e11v2 more expensive but is very good. e11v2 got more input and output, can put in future car.
for car below 350 hp emanage is the simple way to go. altough is piggyback. find a good and patient tuner. hopes this help
how bout haltech e8 ? how are the specs , ok ah ?
anyways , since megasquirt is not mentioned
ms2
mapping is quite not so big, not so small
24X12 Mapping
sequential firing
Rev limiter
Launch control
Overboost protection
Boost control
Water injection control
Dual EGO sensor support (can run ego correction per cylinder bank)
Mappable Air:Fuel Ratio target
Coolant temp timing advance
Inlet temp timing retard
MAPdot accel/decel enrichment
Closed loop target AFR for use with wideband O2
Knock sensor input
PWM idle for use with variable valves
Nitrous control (min rpm, new timing map or fixed retard)
Anti-rev feature to reduce wheelspin
Can shift to any car but require hardware modding
cons :
u dnt know electronics , u cant fix up and solder the ecu hehehe
