guys pls help me again! this is a serious trouble. i just moved some of my files from one directory to another directory but now i cant even access the newly moved directory!!! the name of the file is just a line like this " _____". and when i right click it, its empty but i know the files r there but i just cnat get into it n cant even rename it! n when i double click it, it just say this folder does not exist!! pls help as i got importnat files n i wna to get them back!! below r the situation im having now!! pls computer expert out there!!!! help me!! save me!! im using WIN 98!!
 
I believe u using Win95/98 or Me, u try to go in the folder and press "ctrl a" if its show u some hidden file, that mean those hidden file high chance was the DLL file still inside registry ....

u need to deregister it then u can delete the folder .... ;)

can i deregister the folder but can still acces it as i wan to get my files back!!

U need to do it in DOS...

1. Click on Start -> Run -> cmd or command
2. Once in the DOS window, type rename c:\___ c:\whatever....


Should work.

I think it's already corrupted during the transfer. If you can't access it through DOS prompt then there's very little hope. Initially you might be able to undo the movement but since you already tried so many steps, it's too late for that. As a safety precaution, don't move folders or files. Copy it.
