Mixing RON95 with RON97

Not all booster works, some just in it for the money, product r crap. From what i seen so far meth injection is the best way to save money n fuel while using lower ron.

What about mixing both RON97 and Ron95 at the same time when fueling petrol?
That's what I see the guy did with his 1.3 Myvi. Older batch.

My 'older batch' (pre-2007) Myvi made no difference whether I used RON92, 95 or 97. So mixing like that is just a waste of time. Stock standard Myvi la.

The ones off the shelves, some tried and does not work. Mine source from friend, and have been tried by many friends and members already.

Why mix Ron95 and 97? Unless you ride runs on Ron96 then mixing might work.
My ride runs well on Ron97, so when price increased, tried to save by using 95, but cannot run. Knock badly and cannot rev pass 4.5k RPM, then only did I try mixing. Even 30/70 also cannot work until my friend's booster. Now on Ron 95 with booster....okay....:driver:

Octane boosters generally have two types :

1. It's made from (or it IS) high octane fuel, like jet fuel or RON150 or something high. Highly toxic and highly flammable.

2. Some mumbo jumbo chemical mixture that supposedly increases octane level. Personally I think this is bull because if it were that easy, RON97 would never sell in M'sia.

Some old school racers swear by 2-3 moth balls (napethelene based) in the fuel tank too. But I don't have money to rebuild engines everytime I use these mothballs so I wouldn't want to try this.

is thjat ok by putting that moth balls?or maybe engine damage?i will think twice to do that...dont want to save 10 cents but damage 10k....:banghead:

I tried before once, the one that Proton Gaves...X1 something cant remember. Use adi, not
much difference. Another one I bought from a friend.

Yellow Liquid, cant remember the brand, also not much diffrence. So till date, I never use adi.

fo type r engine better use ron97 la bro....can avoid knocking....power better......

latest i've tuned my car with ron95. better not mix cause it will make the car haywire. if want pure power go with ron97 cause its from japan. japan now gas stations are ron100. they make power from higher compression engine eg. 10.5:1.
but if you already have type r and with a tight budget just remap your ecu. then its done. but don't expect any power from there.

my car b18c type r toda c still can pull 10500rpm. no knocking. (off the A/C of course). sometimes if hill climb may need to change lower gear to avoid knocking...during hotter temp try not to stress the engine...lower revs..
my FC 36 liters can go 400km. 40:60 city:hway.

drag the GTIs is the best part. can smoke them. not a problem..but you need gear ratios for that of course....

Seriously.. it has no effect... but u try mixing 2T oil in... 200ml for every 50 liters of petrol pumped in....

It won't raise the Ron... Bt it Will make it smoother ... And lubed... Try it... I tried on supra, rx7, BMW... Lol

Haha...thought only rotary do that...

Yeah, it lubricate from the inside...maybe less power (but for such a low amount its unnoticeable) cause 2T oil doesnt give combustion power..at least Shell VSX or above...

I am already adding some other oil my friend ask to test. Suppose to be octane booster and so far okay. Last time use Ron 95 cannot rev pass 4.5k RPM, and knocked badly. Now can pull to red line and no knocking like Ron97

What oil is that?

I believe cars are modern/smart enough to compensate for higher/lower RON that is recommended with any ad-versed effect, but a recent event cast some doubt in my mind.

Accidentally pumped RON97 in my M52 last week.. only RM30worths.. didnt notice any difference in power/smoothness. Pumped my usual 95 again once the fuel was low, had a strange sound from the engine bay. Sounded like a bad bearing really.. then after some 2 days the sound was gone. STRANGE X FILES.
