I drive a Satria with crystal lamp and HID. How do i make my beam light shine higher. Its always shining too low at the floor. Accessory shop people always say that my crystal lamp is the cheap one and cannot adjust. Any ideas from you guys? I really don't want to get a new lamp

pop the hood. look at the headlamps, near where the screws are holding ur headlamps to ur chassis. locate 2 holes nearby... 1 would be nearer to the grill (the inner hole) and the other would be a lil further (nearer to the fender). if im not wrong, the one nearer to the fender would be the height adjuster. get a long screwdriver to reach them.

either ur headlamps are really cheap ones OR ur accesories shop is trying to convice u to get a new set from them.

happy DIY-ing.

Hi arrow, yeap i tried that before. It goes up a little higher but still not as nice as i would like it to be. But the problem is it drops back down after a few days of driving. Anymore suggestions?

perhaps ur headlamps are the cheap ones. my suggestion, get a new set lol. a used would do too.

buy original head lights ... taiwan head lights cannot see roads night and your HID glares ppl night time and also the adjust sucks never locks on the level .... ex-taiwan headlight user here .... taiwan lights looks nice daytime ... nighttime it sucks .... try go outskirt once n u will know why some ppl wan to use original headlight eventhough it looks sucky .....

* screw on that level u want then take out the head light put super glue on the screw so it doest move but this way is a one time chance way .... u fail there goes your light !!! :bawling:

Haha Edwin, i suppose your taiwan headlight gone already la?? Suck la these Taiwan headlight. It doesnt even shine evenly. Instead of the whole front view bright, I can see my side view super bright but front is like torchlight.

Forget about those headlights, get a projector headlights, install you hid there and pray that you can still pass the roadblocks.

If you are driving in penang, you are guaranteed to be blocked by a police or jpj at roadblock

please please please do not use HID with original headlights
you will glare the crap out of all the vehicles.

Minimum requirement that i suggest is still using a crystal headlights ( this is my setup currently, and i still have to put a tape on top of the headlight to avoid glare to others. )

reason being, notice that there is a cover inside the crystal headlights, this will avoid direct shine from the HID blubs itself.

if u want good, then use projector... a bit pricy.

note: i have gone thru several roadblocks in KL and Subang with no problems at all.

I am already using crystal DarkAccon. This thread bis about my question on how to make the crystal headlights stay up.

someone suggested using original headlamps, hence my reply earlier.

not sure how many grades of crystal headlights there is in malaysia.
mine is adjustables, and it stays at the correct placing.

you might wanna check if the screw hole is worned
if it is.... then time to get a new set, cause sooner or later, the worst it gets, it will be like my friends crystal lights, the reflectors does not stay at all, one bump and u can see the lights woobling up and down
