Hehehe.... I read in an old issue of Autocar - they tested the Evo VII and the Holden Monaro in the UK. Hard driving in country roads. The Evo VII averaged 17mpg (2.0, 4cyl turbo) while the Holden Monaro averaged 21mpg (5.7 V8 - same engine as used in the Corvette C5). Not bad for a V8 huh? The latest American V8 engines are quite economical compared to the old American V8s. Dunno about Japanese V8s- even the big Jap V6s also slurp petrol like water.
P.S Have to use scooter to work la nowadays. Cars for weekends only.:)
