Not a surprise. Market price for an used stock BNR34 is between RM160-200k depend on year of manufactured. 2 mths ago I helped a member to let go his BNR34 V-Spec at RM180k with some brand new HKS performance parts. Initially he offered to the buyer at RM165k. But when he found out no one was selling below RM180k during that time so he sold to the buyer at RM180k (with some aftermarket parts). Max. loan can only get at RM90k for 99/03 from PBB.

No matter how much money cosmicgate paid, as long as he is happy and different cars make different people happy... :)

My definition of "The Best Used Sportcar", it has to be : Fast, Lightweight, Fun to drive, Great looking, Value for the money and Affordable. "Good resale value"?? May be..hmmm...

I believe RX-7 is the best value sportcars for the money here in Msia (under arround RM100k).:burnout:

Do you know that in Aus, RX-7 is being sold higher than a GTR 32, 33 (click here) or S15 !!!!!

Take a look at the Aus resale value for an 92' stock twin turbo RX-7 here and compare to a single turbo heavy loaded here.

Use the Yahoo currency converter.

it was a 02 vspecII with very little mileage on it from a friend's uncle that is seldom in the country.(of course i couldn't be sure if the mileage was genuine but knowing how the car got in the country and stuffs as i've been following it for a while i'd like to think it hasn't been tampered with) i would like to think i got it at a bargain at that price and was pretty happy with it.
Of course maybe alot of you are just right i might be jealous with coming up with the topic in the first place but whatever it is, i do honestly think that the rx7 is an amazing car.

HAHA...

Nothing to be jealous about. It's a fidgety bitch at the limit.

i remember 3 years ago i was sourcing a FD3S with cash budget of around 75k. 3 years later i still see that the same piece of sht is still up for sale at 75k. I have sourced and travelled across the whole malaysia in search of one, but it fail to meet one of my main criteria: car has to be less than 3 owners and yes you have guessed it, 3 years ago, then and now a typical World War 2 era car still sells for 75k at average in Malaysia. It's pretty obvious which car owners wear rose-colored sunglasses and frolic with unicorns all day. The prices you're asking for your cars are ridiculous. Since you haven't felt the invisible hand of the market, allow me to deliver the pimp slap of common sense.

1)Start there and get an idea of what to expect for your car. If you're asking over 75k for a car that tops out at 50k value, you are a retard. The only people who would pay that price are fellow retards, and guess what? Most of them can't use the internet. You're one of the lucky few. Quit while you're ahead

2)How many kms does the car have? Manual or auto? What year is it? What options does it have? Clean title or salvage? Do you have all the records? This is important, relevant information. "rx-7 for sale" is not self-explanatory.

3)A picture is worth a thousand words. Put up a photo and give a little taste of what the car looks like. There's nothing I enjoy more than flying in MAS/AIRASIA just to see the "immaculate" car with cigarette burns all over the interior. Be upfront. In fact, that's a good one too

4)I'm about to hand you several thousands cash. Do you really think I won't be thorough and check out/test drive the car? Yes, I'm going to notice that the engine shudders, or it pulls to the left, or it has a peculiar smell. Be honest about it. Don't be a jerk and we all know rx7 has crap stock engines. stop denying and lying and justifying how bullet proof a wankel engine is. you want a bullet proof engine, a 2jz is, not a 13B. If you've own a fd/fc and you said its better than a proton saga, well are in fact Jesus living in disguise in the our era.

5)This is a recession. Your car has been up on for sale at the same price for 6 months. LOWER THE PRICE!

6)I've searched for "BMW M3" and gotten a efini result by some guy that doesn't know how to use keywords properly. Those cars do not cater to the same type of person! Let it go.

7)Alot says that its up that price because the design of an FD is timeless. If you wanted a timeless machine, i would say a NSX is, never a FD.You are comparing Louis Vuiton to Los Vitton of chow kitt market. Please smack some sense to your thick skull.

8)"OBO" literally means "or best offer." If you aren't taking the best offer, don't use the phrase. Simple as that.

I don't see what's so hard about this. You have a car and you want cash. Some ppl out there have cash and want a car. Please get it priced reasonably.

Every now and then when i see a potential buyer asking about an overpriced FD i scoffed and laughed and i was very glad that i didn't buy a FD last time. It just wasn't worth it.

I'm very glad that i settled for another car. I was a very happier man than i did if i ever got an FD.

the price of an item is dictated by supply and demand. basic economics. a moot point trying to debate about it. it just goes to show how much people value the FD3S, and how much people are willing to pay for it.

i absolutely love the FD3S, i have a poster of it on my wall. I don't think its worth that much, so I did what I could do, don't buy it. But I won't call other people retards, cause I understand economics.

Some people buy cars so they don't have to walk, others buy it to bring their family around, a big group of them buy it to show others how long their dicks are, while people buy the FD3S simply because its a FD3S. So.. what's your problem? You guys can call Saga drivers retard, but the Saga driver also call you retard, cause at the end of the day he can also go from point A to point B and he's happy with the Saga. So what? To each his own.

We have just returned from the 2010 edition of the JPM - CIMB Time Challenge and in terms of car turnout, the event was an absolute cracker. Every supercar from the god-like Lamborghini Murcielago Super Veloce to a replica of the ultra-rare Le Mans winning Ford GT40, and even the classic Lamborghini Countach was in attendance...
