Woo,thats nice.

Year 96 is the ones which have those non retractable headlights if im correct right?
Not to be biased again since i have had a Fairlady 300ZX..but the Lady' beats GTO anyday XD

- D i a b l o - : yup...year 96 is the one that have the non retractable/flip headlights....wow....300zx eh?...nice nice....no offence taken pon....don worry...that's the reason i wanna sell the car to get myself an FD(if possible and if my dad actually agreed about it).....if my dad doesn't agree with my proposal....then i have to find sumthing else....well, just try my luck if i really can get it since he said that if i can sell both the car and he'll buy the car that i really want....there's a big IF....that's why i ask you guys about rotary since u guys own one...

Sorry if i hijack your thread....

i 've been reading the rx 7 thread for the past 4 months and i've been thinking about getting one for myself....But....before i have my hands on the FD, i have to let go both of my cars (GTO and putra)....i haven't really discuss with my dad regarding this matter since he said to me "Sell both car then we'll talk"....

-Is it necessary for me to install Power FC, FMIC, all new hoses, alum rad??...i just want a daily driven FD since i'll be driving it all the time....
-How's your stock FD fuel consumption like on pump gas? have to use V-power or just normal gas will do?

wish me luck in my quest of selling both cars and getting the fd..
thank u..
IMHO the stock FD has pretty questionable cooling and intercooling systems from the factory, ironically considering its engine is one of the hottest running ones around...

Mods would be centred on heat control with upgraded radiators, tip top coolant mix; basically a very sound, working system. New silicone hoses are highly recommended as they are pretty much the lifelines of the seq twins. Pop one out and you might lose a few expensive items. Think of it as insurance :_:

An upgraded Stock Mount Intercooler would suffice if you're running the stock twins, and again, IMHO I prefer SMIC as the pipes are pretty short compared to a FMIC setup, thus reducing lag (by how much, I don't know...I don't have neither because I drive a Wira ^^)

Regarding the PowerFC, phat7 here is DA MAN to talk to but to me, the system is a worthwhile upgrade even if your car is in stock trim as there are many things that can be refined. Having a standalone also gives you the leeway to go single turbo next time in any case you grow tired of the power (or of troubleshooting  ) the twins.

Cheers
