Wad type of noise crackin sound... ??

Usually of noise crackin sound seems like speaker is blown or kaput...

but if distortion its usually caused by too much watts produce by amp or power not stable from player...

can u be more specific abt ur cracking sound??

blown no lar. its a new component. Just right after i change to this mid range amp. Its like noise. like sumtimes u get radio distortion. But this mine slight distortion.. so what could have been?? btw. is the volt stabilizer helps in such case?

I wouldn't confirm that a volt stablizer might work.. but it might be worth a try..

Btw.. that noise cracking sound.. does it happen when u play CDs or Radios?

Usually distortion is caused by unstable power going to ur speakers...

Try installing a cap.Might be useful if you have powderful subs and amps

Alternator got nothing to do wif aeroplane sound or cracking noise la...

singleguy.. caps is know as capacitor... used to stablize and to enhance the current to your woofers or speaker... IF u play fast techno.. a caps will be good...

Maybe you could try installing a caps and see if your cracking sound goes off...

I'm also experiencing similar problems.
My car just went for an overhaul & just changed the spark-plug cables to thicker ones.
Now, each time I put my foot on the accelerator, there's a fast crackling sound that seems to follow my car's speed. The faster I go, the faster the crackling sound gets. So much so, I just turn off the radio some times.
But this sound is only apparent when I turn on the RADIO & not while playing CD's.
BTW, I'm using a Pioneer DEH-1650B HeadUnit & a pair of Brother's (Pyle OEM) 3-way speakers. I drive a MegaValve 1.5 Auto & changed the spark-plug cable with 9.8mm core.

Try to use back your original spark plug cables. Most of the time the problem arise because of that cables. Other alternatives would be putting ur HU wirings away from a/c wirings. Hope this helps

Well, I don't think using the original spark-plug cable is an option I have :D My original cables are about 15-years old (as old as the car) . So you can IMAGINE the condition it is in.
But how do I go about isolating the HU & a/c wiring? Is it D.I.Y.-able?

i managed to solve me problem. finally after few days of trying out.. its the spark plug cables is the culprit. Change a new set one .. everything back to normal.

power cable and grounding cable should be the same..rite?8awg?

just installed my sound system.. i can hear a very faint eeee aeroplane sound when the car is moving.. (can only hear when my volume is set to 0. with my music on can barely hear.. but irritating la.. cos i know its there!)

grounding problem?
