What are our rights? - Can our homes be raided just like this?

sir, islamic laws are based on the alquran and hadis, it cannot be changed. its not subjected to what party is ruling over malaysia, never get dat wrong. the law is just and suits all, its just the way people implement it. sum people like "the fekker" exist, because.. the just do, everywhere..

sumday, i hope i'll have the chance to maintain the aircraft dat the are flying sir, but for now MAS HR considers me to be incompetent and too od for the job. those bastids!!!

Are you a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer? Where you working now? I could help pass on your resume to other than MAS but no promises but the more people see your resume, the more likely you'll be hired.

thank you for the info arturo, i sumhow cant believe they can do dat without a warrant.. its like anybody with a kad kuasa can go anywhere den, i believe the police also cant do dat? or can they? these are scary shite i tell you..

the lawyer also said in certain cases, the police dont need a warrant to search you if they are certain that you are involved in major crimes such as terrorism n such. but those are big cases where more bigwigs will be involved in the raids. most of the time, they will have a warrant. the police are more civilised in this case. the other party has more "witch hunt" style powers.:banghead:

Leo...good luck in yr application eh. if dapat must belanja makan woooor. of cos when got chance la hehehe

To answer your question,
1. No. There must be a warrant. If there is no warrant, whatever they find in your house or whomever they find in your house CAN NOT be produced as witness/evidence in court BUT this is malaysia. apa pun boleh.

2. No. Even if they have a warrant for your arrest, they are not supposed to hold your IC and force you to sign anything that you do not want to.

3. No.

4. No. Our laws do not apply to foreigners. They can only inform Indonesian Embassy. They can not arrest him/her for religious laws that only applies to Muslim Malaysians.

5. You can talk to a lawyer about this. The Malaysian Bar Council is a good place to check with. They will help you to defend your rights as a Malaysian who was coerced into doing something that you did not wish to do.

although PDRM 'walk sideways' and the law may not be able to protect you all the time, it is still better for you to talk to a lawyer.

by the way, i am a news editor. if you wish to highlight this matter in the press, i will be happy to help you.

Hi, I hope the press or the media will write something about this organisation (agama) and to let people where is their boundaries and what is our right as a civilian before these people's head becomes too big thinking they can go anywhere and barge in/trespass any place they want.

Thanks!
