vtec vs vvti

not much diff at all la..i used to drive jdm ek4 make no diff compare to local but then just the steering rack n my ek4 body is heavier thats all
 
mmm... really ? then maybe i was wrong, but really frustrated with my EJ bushes n arm problem.....friend's genuine eg9 are much better....

Oderf, its how u 'sayang' the car.....I agree local assembled dont hav those sweet engine choices; quality wise its still on par la or slightly less ...........But its lighter sommore, thats y last time Jun EK9 tapau every nasi lemak n mee goreng on the road...........until dun wanna play ek liao :biggrin:
 
Toda, yup... maybe i was too frustrated that i did not get a JDM last time (i was dumb fool at that time, dun even know how to differentiate big n small v)...but when come to think that its already 8 years old, then some major bush n arm replacement work can be considered a norm....

but the title of the topic is not clear edi.....should put k-series or b-series vs vvti,
 
vtec and vvti is both different things. its better to compare vvtli vs i-vtec. cuz both almost smiliar tech. VTEC has not variable valve timing, basically it only change between 2 profile. vvti can change the angle of the cam thus timing but unable to do profile change. correct me if i am wrong = ). meanwhile i-vtec vs vvtli is almost smiliar, as they both do profile changing and variable timing. but 2.0 i-vtec still woops 1.8 vvtli anytime. = P

VVT-Li got lift lehh.... VVTi is normal, changing it's cam angle...
