To all vtec sifu ,

Want to know more about b16 and b18 vtec engines . How many type of B16 and B18 engine series .I've hear ppl say that for B16a small v, the "DOHC" word is bigger den the "vtec" word at the engine block . Big v of B16 is another way of it .

Izit true of dis statement ? How bout the performance difference of stock engines between small and big v B16 and B18 ?

Let me answer ur q since our sifu(s) maybe had been answering such kind of q for many many time already.... there's so many ways to differentiate between small n big V.... the DOHC n VTEC words on the rocker cover is one of them....

note that tsmall v was rated 10HP less than big V

eg6 uses b16a big V. some say eg9 faster but seems like the same to me. ek9 uses b16b.

my small vtec always been outrun n outnumbered by the big vtecs. so sad la.. :(
