Terrible accident at LDP - as usual

Those were a pair of HUGGGGEEEEEEE knockers .... Wonder if she were the train itself with twin headlights ...

I didn't want to start another thread about accident so I thought I'd park this here. Zephyred, hope you don't mind but if you do, please do let me know. I'll start another thread. This is another accident. Wira turbo crash. I've only drove a galant vr4 once or twice and it's very nice to drive a turbo charged car. Haven't really tried driving it multiple times so I guess it's not entirely as easy as driving a normal car when driving a turbo charged car? Or is it just a matter of easing off the accelerator?

College student dies after car slams into tree

PENANG: A college student died while his friend was seriously injured when their car broke in two after crashing into a tree in Macalister Road yesterday.

Justin Khoo, 21, died minutes after firemen extricated him from the wreckage of his car at about 4am.

The two friends were on their way home after a night out with friends when the accident happened. Khoo was behind the steering wheel.

The boy's father, who declined to be named, said his eldest son had had dinner with him earlier before leaving to meet up with friends.

“He had just completed his diploma course in business management and was planning to continue his studies next year.”

Mangled wreck: The car driven by Khoo lying next to the tree it had slammed into in Macalister Road in Penang.

Sad case...

Lotsa ppl modding / upgrading thier car power without thinking of de safety of it... Bigger or better brake system is needed as well as 4 good tyres too... When something 'urgent' happen, its ur skill, de breake system n de tyres tht gonna safe ur life in tht split seconds!!! So, make sure after upgrading de car power u got extra budget for brake n tyres too...

R.I.P to Khoo...

R.I.P khoo..

at times its all down to luck..and i agree with u guys that the malaysian roads are dangerous, most of the things are not unified too. Some dividers are also killers. As satria_95 said..the only thing we can do is to ease our accelerator..and that iss true..no matter ur car is equipped with brambo brakes or whatsoever...speed + bad luck might just kill you.

If you want to drive fast, make sure you have enough skills to handle your car. Skills here includes many things like judgment of speed, judgment of car handling, accuracy, knowing your car's limits, knowing how your car handles, not panicking when something unexpected happens, etc. In short, I would personally say that you should be one with your car if you want to drive fast. When you're one with your car, you'll know not to go over the car's ability limits. Yet again, I stress now that speeding is still dangerous in any case. Of course, you MUST also think of other road users.

Ya man. Sepang should do la more open day. Lot safer to test car there. but lot cruel to our tires too... hahaha

edward,
I believe many would really like to do their racing at sepang but sepang is too far, and it costs about RM150 per car for about 3-4 hours. Further more, the toll is about RM5+ (has the price increased?) per trip, making it RM10+ for toll charges to go and come back. Not many people have RM150 to spare. During those old days, Batu Tiga circuit is only RM60 (correct me if I'm wrong) and that's more affordable to many but Batu Tiga has been demolished. On LDP, most of the speedsters will be out there from midnite onwards. If you drive often enough on LDP after midnight on friday night, saturday night, you'll see some cars speeding along. You may even spot my car too. hahahaha

Yup yup. I agree with you man. Other than those you mentioned, sepang track surface is cruel to road use tires lo. And also the brakes, my fren got his disc brakes glowing after an hour of drive at sepang. But the fuel consumption on the track not bad, cause it is like travelling on the highway... hehehe
Careful la you on ldp... speedster... heheehhe
