Assuming that we have a fully stock car. We are going to modify it. Assume also that we can only buy one part (inclusive of other stuff to get that part working, like fuel injectors.... that needs injector controllers to work, etc.) every 2 (two) months. What would you all upgrade first. Assume that we are NOT DOING engine transplants and just modify whatever engine that comes with the car. Share your opinions with me.
NOTE : All opinions are personal opinions / suggestions / etc. Everybody has their own taste so DO NOT FLAME !

Let me start an example and hope you all can follow this format.

Car : Proton Satria 1.6L Manual
1) Air Filter
2) Sport Rims
3) Springs
4) Absorbers
5) Front strut bars + Rear Strut bars (these 2 can be together cos it's considered as the same thing)
6) Stainless steel headers
.... etc.

NOTE : Each number is a different modification every 1 or 2 months.

well ... for me it would be on what i want my car to be ....whether thinking or turbo charging the engine or going down the N/A path...

cause you don't want to change your piping when your n/a ... and do it again when you turbo charge your engine...waste of money...

playing with the car's air-flow would be the best way to start from stock...

so for me would be..

1.Air-filter...
2.piping from extractor onwards...

next would be more for handling and stability...

3.suspension
4.chassis stiffening(anti-roll bars and whatever other bars)
5.brakes

brakes can be done early because when you mod your engine more... you'll be confident that your brakes can stop your car in time too

after that would be

6.camshaft
7.PnP
8.Blueprinting/boring/lightened internals(expensive)
9.Management.

lol thats for my daily driven/everyday use car.... ;)

I would save my money and bring it for a one shot. Save money on labour & time. Urs as well as the mechanics. Or buy part by part first. Like this, u can spend more time studying on ur upgrade path.

Hmmm... i think its a bit too hard to 'note down' coz there's just too much u can do with a car.

To me i prefer to have a balance of looks and performance.

for me.........power is 1st.....i dont care bout the outlooks....

1.engine (open port, port & polish, oversize throttle, etc etc)
2.rims and tyre
3.suspension

outlooks
2k black....thts it

suspension then brake then piping for exhaust then air filter

propably that all I will do since Im more fond toward handling of my car
