Sound deadening

Hiye All agian.. :P ...now its another challenge to get rid of noise from the road,outside noise and noise from the car fenders :blink: ...to give you a smooth comfy ride from point A to point B.while enjoying ur favourite piece of music in the car. :lol:

I heard of a guy who does some kind of 'foam' spraying for sound insulation. If you're into 4wd Pick Up trucks you can take a look at the bedlining on the nissan frontier, it's different from the rest. Other pick up trucks use a solid thick piece of plastic which has been custom cut to shape and then installed onto the surface at the back. On the other hand, the Nissan frontier's bedlining is actually 'sprayed on'

This special material can also be sprayed on the inside of your doors, etc.etc to recude vibration and such.

Ohh....i read bout it...its called auto foam rite..?spray it into the hollow part of the door sills....true...it'll take noise out...but would'nt it make the body more rigid..?like det all the nuts in the car loose liow.... :(

it's not AutoFoam

AutoFoam is a PU expanding foam, for inside the chassis.

the spray-on bedliner is a bitumen-ish, rubber-ish stuff.

One time i saw one guy do a sound deadening on his harrier, in the boot area, he strip all the carpet and put this brown thing, its definitely not bitumen strip, cause it is light brown in color, i asked him what the hell is that, "brown bread" he answered. But i think it is quite expensive....

i saw in ACE hardware..they have this insulation foam for sale...

hardened and dunno what...

not expensive thouhg..but don;t knwo how effective it is
