I had a stock Alza auto for a week and I hated it. The only thing I liked was the space and how many people I could carry.

I think it’s damn awesome to be the rear passenger in an Alza. Big ass door, easy to get in and out. Just need to tell the driver to max out the air con.

What you hated about it? Sails like a boat, no power. Anything else to hate?

Fuel economy isn’t good for a 1.5 litre as you would expect of a toyota engine. Stock brakes are less then ideal. The speedometer being in the center position rather than on driver side.

Easy? The B-pillar is very awkwardly placed. I kick it everytime I sit in the 2nd row seats. It's aircon is front only and you have to blow the front blowers to the ceiling and at full blast for the 3rd row to cool down and only reduce it once it's cold enough (usually about 15-20 minutes later), driving it is a bitch because its side visibility is surprisingly lacking and a full sized motorbike can hide in multiple blind spots because the A-pillar is also a major blind spot. The 1.5L slug is the only reason I haven't gotten into any accidents because it has no power to get me into any situation that I can't get out of. The center display console takes my eyes off the road when I want to check my speed too.. that's annoying.

But like I said - the space is good. Even in the front seats with the arm rest down there's so much leg room and arm stretching room.

Yea it’s the 3SZ engine from Toyota. I think I managed around 10-11km/L usually for city driving.

Do you roughly know what is the price of those 15inch tires you mentioned? Such as Michellin Ps3, hankook v12, re003? Been out of touch on the 15 inch sizes, haha.

V12E2 is about rm170-180 for size 195/55/15 at the best prices, RE003 is about rm185-200, then PS3 is about rm230-250. So the V12E2 is the best value for money now. I'm using that tire on my son's Swfit Sport and my wife's Livina.

Long time back before I bought the Livina I seriously was considering the Exiga! But its just too rare. Expensive is one thing but parts availability is another thing! If expensive but can still get stuff easily then not so bad but if also difficult to get parts then even if have money also not much you can do. So yeah then just decided to get the boring slow ass Livina instead. zzzz.....

Wow, thanks for the price update. Price is so different compared to my other 17inch which cost upwards of rm600 per piece.

The swift sport is a nice sporty car, very fun to drive. A lively engine coupled with close ratio gearbox, revs well and handles very well too. I almost gotten one many years back.

i am on 225/50r17 for my AD08. There are plans in the future to upsize to 18" to fit 245 width tires but keeping it on hold as of now as there are other stuff to change first.

Yup very fun car indeed, no regrets buying it especially since nowadays it's so damn rare!

haha...the tire grips really well in the dry, i don't really dare to try in the wet though as i've read many comments about its lousy grip in the wet. intend to go for either AD08R or RE71R for my next set and hopefully 245 r18...with a set of 8.5jj or 9jj rims with better offset.

Yes 2008 ZC31S manual. He's not really into cars yet but starting to show some interest. No haven't been to Sepang yet la, I'm still teaching him how to drive.

If daily and want wet handling better use PS4, but of course you will loose out for extreme dry performance. AD-08R are extreme category so poorer performance in the wet.....

Yea for more comfort and better balanced ability, PS4 seems like a good option, i’ve tried it on my previous car before. Another super value for money tire is the eagle F1 asymmetric 3.

I’m probably looking at RE71R since it’s as good as the AD08R in dry and better than it in the wet. Preparing to hit Sepang to test out the car next year but preparation is going to take a while.
