yo guys, wat bout mercedes, 3 weeks ago i "SAW" not people say, SLK or CLK, 2 doors mercs stop (cannot move, maybe engine kong or something) in the middle lane of federal highway right in front of straits timber factory then again 2 weeks ago same location but a different mercs also spoilt and stop in the middle lane of the same location, then last tuesday after paying toll in old klang road heading towards subang another mercedes (model not sure but headlight is tai sai ngan have to be tow with tow truck....car no accident....nearly 80% of non accident car failure on the road comes from big car manufacturer like mercs.....and ya two months ago in front of my office i saw a landrover freelander just came out from factory in shah alam, i think heading for car showroom broke down and guess what smoke comes out from the bonnet hah.....overheat.......

conclusion is why only bash proton.....i think mercs have more car failure on the road that proton cars and wat a bout landrover that i saw which overheat, why not bash it too.......

just my opinion, no offence though...:)

Every manufacturer has its weaknesses. And strengths.

Over the years, I've owned or driven on a daily basis 2 Sagas, 1 Iswara and a Putra. Based on my experience, Proton's real strength is the reliability of its engines and powertrain. Nothing ever went wrong with them, all I had to do was proper maintainance at regular intervals. If anything were to go wrong with the car, it would be with the vendor supplied equipment, like power windows, reverse sensor, etc.

But nobody, not even the basher bashers can deny that Proton's one indisputable weakness is its after sales service. Once you drive the car out of the showroom, thats it. You're on your own. No Proton dealer, not even the manufacturer will give a rats ass about you or your cars problems. No matter how good your warranty looks on paper, trying to get anything repaired or replaced under warranty is like trying to get blood out of a stone.

OOHH...it's too good to be true..my not so good friend later become a better friend happend to buy Merc C200K in 2003. one day..he jam his car at traffic light during lunch time..just 2month after married to dat C200...coincidently i drove on dat route and standing+chats with him in the middle of sunny malaysia afternoon..sigh... just imagine how good the car is...when u wrongly started/push button anythings...engine go dead..can even start eventhough specialist give a visit to da scene...ELECTRONIC FAIL says that specialist..
i never give bother..then few weeks later i came across an article in mag dat MERC calling all selected model..and i remember C200K is listed..

last week i saw him driving AMG E55..emm go ahead man..

p/s: my prayer...hopes PROTON can present+produce low cost boy racer spirit cars in the future..so don't need to depend on HONDA to travel fast thru mlysia hiway :) :tongue:

not onli happen for road car....even mclaren have problem with mercs engine.....1st race sure win then use for 2nd race sure knog....aiyoyo

hopefully kimi's engine doesn't died in the middle of the race this weekend cause it's the second race for his engine........proven to date is that his engine also kong in the middle of the race for second race....or is it kimi push too hard which cause the failure........MCLAREN, MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU this weekend :)

enough with proton issue...i got quick Q to ask u...
for coil spring on shock absorber...they tend to have further spaces and closer spaces..i'm abit comfuse which one is bottom and top when we install it to shock damper.
