Review: 2016 FK2R Civic Type-R Turbo

Maybe the FK2R rims width are 8.5j while the RS275 are 8j?

Maybe Honda and Renault want these cars to be able to use the best performance tires out there so they can outrun each other, and therefore they just opt for the 19'. Coz CSC6 and PSC2 are only available 19' up.

good insight, yes they are in fact 19x8.5, just found out the Speedlline Turini wheels on the Trophy are in not so common 19X8.25 even their 18" wheels on the regular Megane RS are in 18x8.25

I haven't done much research on the CSC6 to be honest, now that you mentioned how they are only available in 19" and up it deserves a good read

The Pilot Sport Cup 2 actually has a higher treadwear of 180 whereas the Pilot Cup 1 is at motorsport territory 80

At TIMETOATTACK we classify the Cup 1 as Semi Slicks and Cup 2 as Road Tyre

Oh really? I must have misread it then. Thx for the correction.

Yah! the Cup 1 pattern also looks shaved, balance like semi already.....:hmmmm:

Wah! got 8.25" width rims?

I just happened to remember that stock front tyres for Ferrari 458 Italia is 235/35/20. Same goes for Gallardo at 235/35/19...

Civic Turbo-R to tyre width sizes.

Yup.. the forum is slowly coming back alright.

You do really can remember eh? haha

Found some of my previously taken photos to check again, haha. If only I remember stuffs from my studies this well.

Front wheel needs to steer therefore cannot be too wide.

No, I mean their tyres look fine without any looks of stretching because you said 19 inch rims are normally quite wide. But they are using Pirelli P-Zero instead.

Stretch always depends on tyre width against rim width. The picture you post is taken directly, if taken from the side probably can see the stretch

Hmm, if 19" are normally wide, why din't the OEM manufacturers made the rim less wider to fit the 235 tyres nicely? Or is there a minimum width that they must follow?

Probably they think when use 19" will use really wide tyres....lol:rofl:

My relative owns a Z33 Fairlady Z and he uses 19 inch RAYS CE28 rims. His front tyres are already sized at 245/35/19 but they are still stretched. Must be quite wide rims.
