hi,need some opinion from u guys...
im driving an airtrek wif evo4 engine.lately engine bay seem running quite hot than normal(can feel the heat more).new set cooling system from alluminium radiator,fan controller,low temp termostat has been installed.problem is running water temp normal 80c-85c.izit head gasket pecah?since my evo4 almost 10 years n clock around 140k milleage.izzit time to rebuild?how much does it cost?:confused::confused:

how come u using e4 on airtrek? shouldnt it be e7? or yrs is airtrek n/a convert e4?
 
Running temp seems normal... My E7 oso around 85deg when driving around or cruising on highway... If idling wif aircond on, same reading... But if idling without aircond, temp goes up to almost 95deg then only fan start running...
Basically not much diff for stock radiator n aluminum radiator... Just changed to AVS radiator coz my stock ones had a bit of leaking issues...
 
yes,my airtrek is na convert e4.e4 has better internal compare to airtrek e7(detune).temp running normal but engine bay very hot leh
 
bro, turbo engine is hotter than NA, maybe u r not used to it..
 
bro,even my mechanic also complain mine engine bay is hotter compare others normal airtrek turbo.izit head gasket pecah or td05 is hotter compare td04??
 
at 1st wana get 1 de but even ori turbo hood water also can sip in the engine plug n cause missfire.lotsa airtrek member oso kena.when they switch fmic.
 
as long as water temp is ok... aircond is cold...
i dun see if there's any problem lo...

If head gasket problem...ur water temp edi above 100c lo

Since u r using low temp thermo wit fan controller....u can set the fan to kick in earlier to match the low temp thermo
