i would like to share some standard performance upgrade on airtrek.

1st stage
1. air intake system - k&n,hks
2. straight 2.5inch inlet exhaust piping wif 1 bullet n s-flow jazma tag muffler with 4inch tailpipe. - hks
3. iridium plugs - denso
4. fuel pump - walbro
5. fuel regulator - work,sard
6. manual boost controller - work,hks
7. oil catch tank - cusco,greddy
8. tuning
this upgrade can push boost to 1.2bar - at least 210whp
cost rm3-4k

2nd stage - turbo upgrade
1. td-05 18g - evo5,6,7
3. 560cc injector - evo5,6,7
4. Front mount intercooler - hks,greddy
5. Wastegate - tial
6. 272degree cams - hks
7. big brake kits - brembo, gto(with such upgrade but still on original brake,u gotta b kidding right?
8. tuning
this upgrade can push boost to 1.5bar - at least 280whp
cost rm7-8k

Cooling system - after spending rm10k u surely dun mind spend another 2k for cooling system
1. aluminium radiator - dnd,forged racing
2. evo front mount fan - td05 housing slightly big n almost touches the ori radiator fan, eventually the
ori fan will melt n lose speed.
3. fan controller - make sure the fan running fullspeed at all times.
4. low temp termostat - ntcl,sard
after 2nd stage upgrade still on stock cooling,i dare say ur trek will overheat within 3 months n it happens to me.
cost rm2k

3rd stage
1. Stroker kit
this upgrade will improve ur hp n torque. at least 320whp
cost rm7-8k

The only problem airtrek can't push futher more because of it gearbox.it is an auto tranny.convert to manual is the only way to push futher to 400whp.
Another way to get a better upgrade is buy an evo9 halfcut n dump everything in engine bay n is cost almost the same price wif no hassle n fun, right?
Personally im on stage 2 upgrades but detune n running on ron95 hp around whp240.
most inportant point is there is no such thing as low fc and high power.
u will only have high fc n high power.
I hope this tread will help anybody to upgrade their 4g63t in future.

item 5 helps if u got heavy electronic stuff in your car.it increase the voltage tolerance to prevent sudden surge for power craving electronic gadget.in other words is a small fake battery tat only can light up a small bulb for 1-2sec.

I am not really putting a lot of confidence in those things but hearing first hand comments from you, I think I can try to dive in more. I always believe those gadgets helps, but very very little difference only.

yes, very little only.dumping tat money n get the most significant outcome is brighter headlights only.
