My own perspective of SG vs. MY car ownership:

1. In SG, before thinking of the price of car, you need to think of price of COE: which fluctuates.
2. Price of car is not that cheap also.
3. In SG, RON95 is around SGD2.10.
4. In MY, RON95 is RM1.90.
5. In MY got toll, in SG also got toll.
6. SG is small everywhere is near.
7. SG parking is astronomical.
8. COE + Car Price + Toll + Parking = expensive.
9. Still many supercars there, because many rich people.
10. Many rich people, but MORE people not that rich.
11. That's why most don't own a car.

So yes, in terms of car ownership for a car enthusiast, it sucks being in Singapore.

Sorry for ranting here but I am just EXTREMELY pissed......

This is because my dreams of a Satria R3 is gone (thought of important into SG) and I don't even know how long I will be able to keep my Satria Neo.

Cause the COE for a 1.6L car in Singapore now cost $56K some idiot in my country decides to cut down car population growth by reducing the COE quota again.... This means prices will not come down for a long long time already.....

And in ~5yrs time, I may be forced to scrap my Neo because I don't think I can afford over $50K to renew the COE for another 10yrs.

Seriously, I am EXTREMELY pissed and really envious and jealous of your people in MY!!

Cars are cheap and can keep forever!! So good...... :(

Really thinking of migrating to MY instead of staying in this crappy tiny island........:banghead:
No doubt Malaysia is a nice country. But you haven't seen the big picture yet.

monetary aside, the one thing i really enjoy about driving in msia is that speed limit is ONLY a "reference".
Been living in aus for a couple of years, if u r caught speeding, u may lose your license for 6 months/1 year.
Been back here for a year now and havent got any speeding fine despite the fact i speed a couple of times a week. (mainly on highways and when there is not many cars ) Most of them 170-180. haha
From a car enthusiast point of view, it is more enjoyable to drive a car here. But of cos speeding and endangering others is not exactly right either :damnmate:

Considering Sg has two Pagani Zonda Cinque's... I dunno how "lucky" Malaysians are in comparison. I don't think we even have one here.

Go to Hertz or any good reputation car renting company, tell them what car you like and nego for a long term renting contract. Maybe can arrange driver every time you wanna pass the border at additional cost. Or, find a Malaysian girl friend.

Hi,

I've a question...
There are a lot of water mark/water spot on my sun-roof glass. I tried many ways to try to remove it but the marks/spots are still there...
Anyone can tell me how should I do to remove it?
Appreciate in advance.
