Hi guys,

I have a 1JZ-GTE twin turbo and I sometimes get what seems to oil smoke from the exhaust. Thing is I only get the smoke when I turn on the AC and it is smoke not steam. I can run the car hard and still won't get smoke unless the ac is on.What could be causing that.

Thanks.

Can I assume that I put in too much engine oil into the engine and it may cause the white smoke?

Thanks

too much engine oil definitely cause it to smoke, the thing is.. urs is making only when the ac is switched on..

The thing between air con off and air con on as far as the engine is concerned is the fast idle switch- so i assume the smoking occurs at fast idle? if you fool the fast idle switch/capsule into operating with out the A/C operating does it still smoke?
What color smoke blue/white (oil burning) or black (excess fuel)?
Can do a vacuum test on inlet manifold at idle/fast idle?
has the PCV valve or/and crankcase ventilation system been modified? is this system working?
Cheers
RWC turbochargers

There is a chance that the white smoke was caused by water splashing up from a puddle onto the exhaust pipe. Keep an eye on the coolant level in the radiator in any event
