Sure, here go...found it off the dc2itr forum, can't remember who's pic though..

ddv, nice progress here. congrats!! nice to see another superb db in malaysia unlike those in mudah. but juz too slow imo.

bro pwhyze, that colour looks great but I'm afraid your ITR decal wont be able to be seen easily. Only the R can be visible easily. Anyway, nice choice though.

bro ian, thanks. Its slow...very slow. That's why I named this thread snail rebuild. Hehe. No money to dump in and get everything done one shot.

This colour is sweet for dc2... something different.. as it is dc2 and db8 are quite rare here but every time you see one it's always white or black or yellow or red....
But one thing bro, if you choose this colour, then the decal might not be very visible except for the "R"..

more more broooo

Slow slow la broooo... I got a bigger project coming up this year. Planning to get married. Hehe. Need to save up enough for the wedding. That's why not much progress lately. Just to satisfy myself, I'm getting decals and other cheap stuff. Getting married is not cheap man!!

Btw, I will be using my DB8 as the wedding car!!! Any DC2 or DB8 wanna escort me? Hehe...

EG/EK cannot escort ahh bro...:driver:

EG/EK also can. My DB8 for me. Another DC2 can pick up my gf and meet up at the wedding venue.

I'm just wondering if its okay to use 15'' rims for my car. Anyone??

I want lighter, thus thought of 15''. 17'' nicer but if too heavy. Can't afford those ultra light rims la. But I'm concerned about the looks if I change to 15'' the gap between tyre and fender increase will look cacat. As it is, even with 16'' many are saying my car is too high.

Talking about tyre price, how come some places 15'' tyres are more expensive than 16''? Same brand, same model.

i would stick with 15"...but lower it with a good hard stiff set of adjustables :D

Yeah, that's what I am thinking as well.

About my question on why tyre price for 15'' is more expensive than 16''?

My rims are for sale or swap. Please let your friends know who are interested. Hehe.

Well ... I think lots of ppl using 15" rims than 16" rims due to tire price, weight, FC etc. So when the demand is higher, the price going up la. But for DB or DC I prefer 16" max or just stick to 15" but with 7j coz to me 6.5j makes ur rims looks like 14"

I'm confused. I just want a lightweight rim that has a darker colour without sacrificing the looks. Sick of seeing my car all white. Lol..

Thinking of RPF1 or J speed now. Hoping to get a buyer for my rims. Hehe.

Serviced my car yesterday. Trying out a new oil. Changed some things. More info later. Too tired to post now.

Oh ya!! Tested my car top speed already but still not satisfied. Conditions were not safe to push the car to the max.

My valve head rubber gasket gave way. I guess over time, the rubber hardened and oil leaked out.

At first, I thought it was the valve cover washers and screws that gave away because the leaks were only there. But upon further checking, that was not the problem.

So, what I did was to change all valve head rubber gasket, spark park well gaskets (again since it came together in a set) and the screws and washers (if that is what it is called) to the Type R ones.

According to my mechanic, the normal B16 screws are black and Type R ones are galvanised. I didn't know that. So, whatever it is decided to change them anyway.

Also, I needed to service my car. So, did that as well. Previously, I was using Amsoil Fully Synthetic. It was good for maybe the first 4000-5000 km. Then, it felt sluggish. So, at nearly 7000 km I decided to service my car. No fun driving it already.

This time I will be trying out Motul Turbolight 4100. It's semi synthetic I guess. I would have preferred fully synthetic but my mechanic only had this and Amsoil fully synthetic. I didn't want that. Let's hope Motul lives up to its expectation.

It has been a week now since I changed the engine oil. I find that it revs easier than before. Haven't really tried driving hard. Let you know later on.

Hoping to hit the tracks some time in April. Waiting for friends to join me.

The last time I opened my valve head cover, Izso said that there was a lot of varnish due to either extended the OCI too long or because of poorly broken oil.

Previously with Honda semi sythetic engine oil

This time with Amsoil fully synthetic

Iszo, waiting for you to see the difference. Is it any better this time? Worse? Same? I'm no expert in this. Others please comment on it as well.

I finally remembered to snap a pic of the Pivot Speedmeter V. Haha.

Dangerous act of trying to snap the pic while driving fast....

only to find out that it was not clear. Aihh.

Luckily it had this thing that could record the top speed driven from the time you start the car till you turn off the car in its memory. Once you turn off the car, the memory will be erased automatically. Is Apexi RSM the same?

Here is the pic of the Speedmeter displaying the top speed for my car.

Hope to touch 200km/h or more next time. Just need to make sure it's safe to do that. Haha.

Guess that's it for now. Until don't know when.... for the next update. After my wedding maybe.. Haha.

whats the difference u feel from switching amsoil fully to motul semi ?

Not much difference la. But I feel the engine was a lot quieter when I was using the Amsoil. Now quite noisy. But it could also be my hydraulic lifters that are making that noise. Sounds similar to my friend's car now. Have not checked that yet.
