Acoustic, we can talk definitely but I might not have the time to practically do the magnetic pulley thing at the moment because of my limited time that I can spend on my car nowadays. I could throw some ideas out and share with you though.

Just my 2 cents worth here.... that you might have known.
Many a times, light steering can be cause by height, camber and alignment configuration which is not suitable for the car suspension setup which I've found out later after an expensive lesson... (long story)
The other solution which I've done on a friend's car is change the power steering pulley to a bigger one (mod slightly to fit) which you can source from "potong shop" to turn it slower.
As for the stator magnetic pulley, I think it can be done but needs quite a lot of fabrication to make it work but it'll be very different for different makes of cars.
