Dear All,

Recently, my car started to jerk when it's engaged in 1st gear.. There is no power and i have to rev higher to counter-act it. 2nd gear onwards is fine and this only happens at the 1st gear.

I've tried resetting my ecu. It was fine for a moment but then the problem came back later.

Please please please help me!:bawling:

try you swap with other working AFM unit... I think the AFM causing the problem.

Thanks for the reply TRD.AE92!

Strange, now it jerks at the 2nd gear too..

Dunnoler.. My car like got damn a lot of problems... Would doing an engine diagnostic help me find the problem?

Anyone heard of Ah Leong from "DU Car Services S/B"? Heard he does engine diagnostics, found him from Chin Fa Heng's website... Any good?

If jerking... lemme see... it could be clutch issue. Is it jerking like ur engine mounting going to pecah? Does it happen often during traffic jam?

If so, its definitely your clutch!

The jerking happens at 1st and 2nd gear... There's a power loss and i have to rev hard to get it moving...

The car moves normally from standstill.. then as i accelerate a lil more, it starts to jerk and there is no power, then when i shift to 2nd gear, it jerks too after a lil while and no power too.. then at 3rd gear onwards, it is fine.. :hmmmm:

So, when i drive now, i usually rev higher at 1st gear then straightaway shift to 3rd gear to avoid the jerking..
