Around RM1.5k or so can ship already. My friend last time ship his Saga LMST to Kuching for him to use when studying there. After using it for a while, he decides to ship it back to West Malaysia because he went overseas for exchange studies.



Maybe not so safe in Sabah then. Sarawak I don't know. But apparently the same friend of mine mentioned above told me that in Sarawak, there are a few big shots over there that is very influential and controls a lot of things. Can even deny anyone that they don't like from entering that state.

Then collect at Port Klang yourself I think. The process need to take 2 or 3 weeks.

Using evo 2 with 1 way lsd gearbox and stock awd system with rear oem 1.5 way mechanical lsd, the handling quite nice already, add on are the d2 adjustable, ralliart front and rear strut bars, UR fenders, front lower arm, room, rear upper and rear sway bars....

The pictures also showed differences of evo body, with extra reinforcement at front and rear strut pillars, the significant rear V bars, and also my friend did told me abt the closer spot welding, i not sure is right or not but i will still take pictures for your guys to justify

I really appreciate this post, Peterj. Because of your highlight regarding the extra reinforcement welding on front strut tower, I can use your picture as a benchmark to identify whether cars on sale are really Lancer Evolution or just normal Lancer CB. I actually din't know this until you posted it. You are the real Evo sifu.

There are always ways to convert nornal lancer to evo, chg body direct or weld them self, but if u see real evo with out those chassis reinforcement, it is not

Now after learning from your photos, I can tell a real Evo apart from Lancer by identifying the strut tower area.

There is one chassis lying in Ipoh that probably belonged to a tuning shop. Looked like a drag car. Most of the things are stripped off but I can see the 4WD rear differential underneath the car. But I am not sure is it Evo 3 or could be other variants of Evo or Lancer.

I think East Malaysia got a lot of AE86 though... Because I have seen a lot of AE86 with Sabah plates. My friend studying in Swinburne, Kuching even told me that there is someone driving AE86 in his campus.

peterj, I got a question about the reinforced welding found in Evo. I notice that some cars like Proton Inspira had similar kind of welding like yours at the strut tower area. Is it a similar kind of thing?

look the same, that one need to ask mitsubishi engineer dy, but what i know is cy4a chassis is same as lancer ralliart,which mean u can buy the h/cut and salin everything become baby evo..and evo 10 if not wrong get better fender brace oem, and evo 10 rear strut pillar is totally different from cy4a
