modify or lighten fly wheel

hi all sifu... i dunno if wat im asking is goin to sound stupid...
but wat is flywheel ? does all cars have it? how much to lighten it ? can anybody tell me more about flywheel and lightening it..? tnxx..

every manual car have a flywheel... thats where the starter motor pinion is attach to give crank... its in between the block n gearbox.. must open ur gear box if u want to c it.. ur pressure plate its bolted on the flywheel.. max to b safe is around 1kg... but better not to skim it.. will lose power goin up hills seriously... if want, change it to lighter 1 but, u will still lose power goin up hill.. pick up will feel much much better...
