1st, the color, of course...satria GTi - silver, satria R3 - black
exterior - standard GTi c/w JRD rims...standard R3 c/w Advanti rims...R3 using carbon fibre rear spoiler, GTi PU..., front bumper GTi got 2 fog lights, none on R3
interior - steering, GTi got airbag, 4 spoke, R3 using Momo w/out airbag, GTi aluminium gear knob, R3 carbon fibre, seat R3 using Recaro SR3, black with red linings, GTi using Recaro, black and grey, lightweight carpet for SR3, GTi non slip carpet biasa, with GTi emblem embossed on it, seatbelt R3 red in color, GTi normal black...
2 batches of GTi - the first batch was launched in 1999, 4G93 engine w MMC ECU. 2001 and above are using the same engine but w Siemens ECU..
satria R3 using the same engine w Siemens ECU, carbon fibre cylinder head cover with LEV code number on it. each vehicle comes with different code number as identification.
different suspension setting - GTi was tuned by Lotus, SR3 was done by our guys here in R3 workshop. A few more welding point was add up to standard GTi chassis, to make it stiffer for R3 version...
different exhaust system - donno how to explain this, but GTi got twin tailpipes, R3 one only...the extractor oso different.
braking system - solid discs all round for GTi, R3 with cross-drilled discs paired w high performance mintex brake pads..
pedals - GTi using aluminium pedals w GTi emblem on it, R3 also aluminium, but kosong one...
engine, piston sizs, conrod, air intake, air filter should be the same...but R3 has the upgraded performance parts, i.e extractor, high cams etc ready to bolt on - plug and play...
soundproof/insulation was removed from R3 - a part from its lightening process...
in other words, R3 is the stiffer and noisier version of GTi...which u can take on straight to the track from the showroom...
