Most ecross have switches to allow you to use 1 channel input only.. hceck the e-cross manual for it.

If it can't.. a splitter cable can also be used rather than a pre-amp.

i tot the purpose of using an electronic crossover is to eliminate the use of pre-amp and equalizer?

*correct me if i am wrong*

preamps all equiptment between the HU and the amp... but the nromal preamp si the one with the fader control etc.

PReamps are used for old HU;s which have only 1output. THen it splits to 3 for front/rear/sub.

X-over is to split frequencies for the amp

Diff usage but most if not all crossovers have eliminated the need of a pre-amp.

band-pass = a range of freq. eg. 100hz - 1Khz or 4khz - 20khz or what ever as long as it is in a range. So the e-xover filters the upper band and the lower band hence you have a fix band which is passed through as band-pass.

hmmmm.... sounds konfusing :D

why you need it? well sometimes ppl want their mid to play from 90hz to 3khz only. If you low pass only at 3khz then it will play from 20hz to 3khz. If you highpass then it will play from 3khz to 20khz. (with regards to audio signal only).

do you need it? It depends on what you want to run it for.
