Help! Svt to Blk top conversion..

Wow!!! And they told me "SVT change to MAP very easy one...Just join wires only.." LOL..

Thanks to all for this new and breaking input. I initially just wanted to get rid of the occational dying situation but what to do...itchy wanna do MAP..

yes it is join wires and it is do-able,but not a direct conversion job..

Once the AFM to MAP is done, 1st thing to do is to strip down the throttle to naked and test the sound even it choked with too much volume of air. You hear it moan / scream when it is about to hit the redline .. AFR at this point of time, 15-16 (lean)

Running rich all the way with a fuel regulator mated stock ECU.
Idling, already 12-13 (rich) .. No choking effect with the car, even low rev. But then again, rm10 for 40km only. Suggest a mgmt to help on this.

Yes,when u use trumpets,no matter svt convert to bt,or stock bt,your low end respond really s**ks,it will bog down and the pickup speed, below 4000 rpm no response, very slow...but after 5000rpm you will hear it sings,7000 to 8000 it changes note and scream...BT fueling is rich in stock form, even with converted SVT with BT ecu it will have almost same result (same injector size svt and Bt),high rpm should have no problem, only the low end,use of management can sort this,or fuel regulator (not the best solution cause affect entire rev range).

Rm10 for 40km,thats bad for 1.6L,but have to look on the state of tune of your engine.

Agree on the whole rev range AFR by using F.Regulator. The whole rev AFR run at super rich. So far, my spark plug didn't fail me yet of the excessive fueling. It has been like this since the day it was converted to MAP.

Settling this is my priority now for the incoming track day (after F1) . E420C + LC1 waiting under my bed  . Let see how much output a stock engine can max out.

Waa...u keep performance parts under ur bed aaa....hehe

Good luck,i wish i have enough funding to make my ultimate 4ag..

Trying to make a successful SVT --> BT hybrid .. You upgrade chassis already, that is consider a huge leap!
