No A/F ratio meter reading using SVT O2 sensor

errkkk...typo error..."user" heee

================

Curious...
all the connection seems to be ok...sensor seems to give a voltage output...
but there's no reading on A/F meter...troubleshoot for hours...still can't...

then changed to BT O2 sensor soo called "lambda sensor" ...only then gets the reading...

why ?

or is it because of BT wiring on SVT ? :driver:

P/S : oitttt...who put the picture below ??? heeee...

no la... i think the previous 02 sensor kaput already le...
O2 sensor for 4AGE is the same...

Don't judge or state by what you "think".
4AGE got a few version, 1 wire O2 sensor, 2 wire O2 sensor, and 4 wire O2 sensor.

you mean you only change the sensor then got the reading?
At the same wire hardness?

scomatic - as mentioned...the O2 sensor is in working condition, giving out voltage output, reading from multimeter...mine using 4 wire, the mech changes the the wire...check everything...still can't...

sifoo chu - thanx...

sifoo wong - yup change to BT sensor, change the pin connector (cuz using BT harness)...walllaaa...got a reading on A/F

Chinozie..i have met this problem b4 with my SVT....simple solution...after complete wiring the AF ratio meter....disconnect the negative batery cable on the batery or pull out the 15 ampere EFI fuse to reset the ECU...wait for 15 seconds then reconnect....then you will find the meter working....if this procedure didnt perform...the AF ratio meter will just go up and down continously without proper reading...
try it...this is from my experince from 2 SVT here in sabah...

ColvAE101 - hmm ok...but why after changed to BT sensor, without resetting the ECU, A/F meter give a reading ???
Do you aware that the car is using BT engine harness...?

Chinozie...If u using BT ecu,BT wiring but SVT O2 Sensor, cannot work.U must use BT O2 sensor. This is because although the Svt and Bt O2 sensor looks the same, and both have 4 wires, its work differently.SVT O2 sensor cannot be used with BT ecu,but BT O2 sensor can be used with SVT ecu, with some rewiring.SVT O2 sensor need a voltage feed from ecu (which only SVT ECU have).BT ecu does not feed voltage to the sensor, the BT O2 sensor generate its own voltage.

I see...no wonder...that the differences...

so meaning all this will my O2 sensor wasn't running aaa ? huuuu...

Cuscostrutbrace..yup u are right....well Chinozie hope this solve you problem...
