Exhaust temp?

Hi guys,

Would like to know what's the optimum exhaust temp for a FD? Hmmm for a stock FD, i guess.....

My exhaust temps

Assuming the EGT probe/sensor is placed at near the oem o2 sensor location where mine is (i use defi bf meters) my temps are at around 700 degrees while cruising on the highway and up to 800-850 degrees when accelerating very hard, flames and all out the exhaust!

Driving casually in suburbia i see temps between 400 - 600 degrees.

Remember high exhaust temps could mean both too much fuel causing excessive heat and/or a lean situation too. It is best to get wideband test done & observe the temps at that level - any great change in temps while on the road should be cause for concern.
