I'll be direct with your question. Here's my answer.

1) Shouldn't the flushing oil you bought comes with instruction on the bottle?

2) With today's engine oil formula and "cleaner" petrol, flushing oil is almost a thing of the past. I'll flush the engine as the last resort before opening up the engine due to major sludge built up or engine that is too old or engine "kong" too long ago...

Just my 0.2 cents worth. I might be wrong.

flusing the engine is to remove the old oil that still stuck in ur engine..
at least 25% is still inside ur head!

i did once b4 when change oil..open up the head cover..Bloody hell!! i was soo surprise with the amount of old oil inside it...

wipe with tissue/paper till clean..then pour the new oil inside....
but now to lazy to do it hehhee

remember something about engine oil....
not all oil is the same! the propperties inside the engine oil is a trade secret to the company.so it is hard to justify the oil change according to ur old belief anymore heheh...My engine oil at 20000km old might have a better protection than your 4000km old engine oil!

hehehe something to ponder eh?

1) haha... yup ken yeang is correct, actually all instructions is written on the bottle. flushing oil have many types. concentrated type normally is in small can. but normal one is in 4L bottle like the photo in the 1st page.

2) I beg to differ. flushing oil is not a thing of the past. the cleaner petrol only will clean at combustion chamber area. but below the piston, is a whole different story. thats y i show u this photo.. (after drained the old oil, the oil remained inside clinging to the wall of engines and crevices still very dirty.. only with flush, u can get it cleaned).

renxun, u use other oils later ur sponsor company marah ler. heheheheee
hehe... last time sponsored by TOP1... but now not anymore. im back to my own choice of usage.
2 brands of my choice
1) Fuchs Titan Fully syn- reason being is they do sell in 5 litres pack. which ngam ngam for my 1jz
2) Shell Fully Syn- the black colour pack with a ferrari logo outside (used it once and felt its ok.but have to purchase another xtra 1litre as they only have 4 litre pack)

**if i hav the money i would lke to try motul fully syn too ... but too bad i change engine oil very frequent regardless of fully synthetic oil. 4000km - 5000km will change for sure together with filter. thats why using motul at those intervals can quite harm my wallet.

never flushed my engine b4. maybe shall try the shell and see how... my oil is only brown colour every time i change oil...so i shall try and update here wat is the outcome...

how bout gearbox oil? how frequent do you guys change? the last time i change is around a year ago with Q8 fully syn oil + lube guard. nothing to shout about... operation is same.

spark plug wise. maybe im lucky that i dont face any issues although the usage reach around 80k km. changed to iridium denso. and now it had clocked 40k km.... the slight difference is only it felt a bit lighter on low rpm b4 boost kicks in ... other wise its the same...

There r quite a few brands bro so for me I'm x sure which is better than d other but I assume they all do d same thing....s for me I just get a bottle of EO mineral n let it run for a while (about 20mins) then flush...it works for me....at least for my 4g63t...:)

Next change thinking of trying out diesel EO...heard quite a number of positive remarks from already tried users (tho I know different engine different characteristics)...let's c how it goes...

Yea, had heard those 'magic' trick for quite a long time, but i just don't dare to take risk for diesel EO in petrol engine... sigh..

True bro but u can just use it s a flush aka let it run 100 km (or less) then flush n replace wiz actual EO...:)

But then again if d diesel EO is rated for both diesel n petrol think it shld b fine (I hope)...I'll give it a shot

Diesel EO is ok la. It has tremendous cleaning ability but I personally wouldn't recommend using it long term in your car like VR2Turbo does. But that's up to you.

I use CRC engine flush

I was suppose to use as a flush but my engine became quieter then when using 5w-40 FS EO, so I kept until next OCI. I have many members from AW actually using diesel EO in their petrol engine for years. Most using Caltex Delo 400.....

Random Post Every 5 Minutes

Hi all.

Is there any way we can chrome our Sport Rim? As we all know after several months using the sport rim, there will be lots of scratches.

I heard there is a workshop which can do that, but I lost the name of the shop.

What is your comment on this? Is it better to chrome or other colours like black or white?
