Car for Mum

I have gone through and compiled prices already. Maybe I can up the stick a bit and get a better bird. But need to ask her majesty.

it depends who will be maintaning the car, if YYC himself then better stick to the bird.

It will be my dad who is responsible for the upkeep of my mum's car lol. Either way it must be economical. Maybe I will do some extra chore when I'm back there.

Lol imagine TS calling his mom now and ask "ah ma, u wana buy bird ma? Bird good"

Really not many choices at 15-20k for a reliable car...European cars at this price would usually take us to holland

Walao..blue birds....are they still exists? It's a nice looking car..looks very sporty for cars at that time

I don't know la.. last time she always said all cars are the same la, got 4 wheels only. So there was a time I took her to Johor with my Iswara and she complained about dizziness. Another time I fetched her to KL with Perdana she told me wow very good oh not dizzy at all.:stoned::hmmmm2:

Then I think you should choose a spacious car for her. The dizziness might be caused by tight spaces as iswara is quite small inside

Yes very rare nowadays. A few years ago met a guy with a kit-up SR20DET U13 Bluebird SSS. Awesome!

And I gotta say the U13 is still better looking than the Almera!

I'm looking for an AT car for my mum with budget around RM15,000, preferable not more than 10 years old.
What's in my mind are:

1. Kancil
2. Kenari
3. Kelisa
4. Hyundai Atos

She is short and small size, just got her licence a few moons ago. My dad Jimmy is too hard for her, she will use the car in a small town. I would be glad with some inputs from you guys about this. Which would be the best considering quality, reliability, FC and maintenance? I just couldn't decide on this yet.

Many thanks!

For me will be Kenari or Kelisa....:wavey:

Kangoo is Renault and will be difficult to maintain.....:hmmmm:

Lol...kelisa is a fish, Kenari is a bird, kancil is a deer. Atos duno what animal. Should use Kuda as a car name to make it sounds powerful lol or cheetah wakakaka

Prancing Horse aka Ferrari?......:adore:

Hard to get parts if not mistaken.....

my gf sister is driving one and the mech told her that the parts are easy to get. the only worry is the gear box cause not much ppl know how to fix its gear box.

I've recently upgrade my dad car to an auto... cuz he drive a manual transmission like riding a horse every time he shift gears:joyman::joyman:. lol that stop my mum whining :call::call2:

Oh yeah?

I thought more and more are switching to manual cars nowadays....

Manual cars are coming back again !:driver:

Saw a red Kenari aero speed today on the road. Everything is stock. Not bad actually... But I think dat model cost more than 15k, maybe would touch 20k plus.

My colleague friend trying to sell his some time ago, maybe parts easy to get, but did mention always going into workshop....:hmmmm:

No idea, dunno how true is it, just stated by a friend. So just listen lo...I was like Wah!
Maybe last time can convert without JPJ hassle kut...

Still that Kangoo is an ugly shit car la bro, dont understand why would anyone buy it...if u love
your mum, please dont buy that car bro

To be neutral, kangoo is harder to maintain than Kelisa or Kenari as some have mentioned.

Kelisa and Kenari cheapest u can get I think at least 20K unless real old model also not easy
to find below RM20K. Maybe manual type can get lower. Only problem with these 2 cars,
just got to check the engine mounting condition especially A/T model..
