BOV Problem

Hi PPL

hope someone can help me out here...i had a blow off valve(BOV) installed recently, but then i started to loose power...not a lot but noticable!..
i did some troubleshooting ie. disconnected the BOV and connected back the ori BOV and then everything was back to normal so to speak.

It seems the BOV is the Problem...but i want to be 100% sure its the BOV
while using the 'new' BOV the ori BOV is just disconnected but still in the piping and vice versa.

so wat do all the sifu make of this?

how and who should i go to , to check this out and confirm that its the bOV giving me the problem?

FYI i havent installed a boost meter so i can see the vacum level.

ur BOV maybe inside spring weak already
ur BOV kong when u boost ur engine sometime ok sometime matii


for a while use the OEM bov first laaa..

i also hav the same problem.... sometimes got boost sometimes no...but my case my BOV spring already tighten until habis d.... so mostly spring weak d

btw, guys about boost meter.... if not mistaken, got PSI n BAR parameters right?
which 1 better indicator??

Go to mechanic. Check your wastegate also. Might be the problem.

currently using OEM BOV, but the 'new' BOV still attached to the pipe, wonder if its leaking while i use the OEM BOV....

but power is back to normal ...sigh...very frustrating...

who would be a good troubleshooting mechanic?
i dont think its the wastegate, cos now wit the OEM BOV all seems normal...
i want to be 100% sure its a BOV leak

wat BOV u bought ?
hard to imagine how u put 2 BOV on 1 pipe and also how u run the vacuum hose to the BOV.

well the BOV is a HKS SSQV ,....the OEM BOV sits in its ori place , the 'new' BOV was plumbed in in front of it....not directly next to it la but further forward of the intake pipe.

i'll get the pic up later...
